    Getting back to inlining after pretty much an 18yr break, seems a lot of people my age are having our midlife crisis with skates rather than sports cars, just found your channel today, you are awesome man keep it up

    I’ve been a subscriber for about two weeks, I’ve watched more than a couple videos(going to watch them all). Your a very talented skater! I skated from age 9-20, my skates during this time were RB trs Lightning’s, and RB Dirks(both pre UFS). I left the sport for 15 years. I got back into it at 36 with rec skates then urban, then later back to aggressive. I’m now 37 soon to be 38. There’s no inliners in my current area, I skate with skateboarders. My Local skate park is always filled with people. My skill set is severely diminished, I fall, I hurt myself even with full pads. But I still do it!
    What I’m trying to say is. Your next trick to learn is how to show your skill to an audience that’s not digital!! Help bring our sport back into the game, by showing it off in person!

    • @BrandonDrummond
      @BrandonDrummond  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for Subing ✌.
      That's so cool that your back rolling despite there being no local inliners, That's the real test on people.
      Daym that sounds scary but I'm all for it haha. I hate skating in front of people but when it goes well, it's amazing!
      I have no idea how I can do it more often tho.
      Thanks again for the support man 💪

      Just do it! (Nike swoosh) you have said some tricks are scary, but did them! There are tricks I wouldn’t even think about doing anymore, but with Confidence in my abilities, I will do them. No matter who is watching!
      So, your next trick is skating in front of an audience.

You'll appreciate your progression more, have more to work on and be more well rounded with your abilities.

    new m12's with King souls might end up being the best setup. I'm going to start again after 10 years or so and I'm going to pull the trigger on that setup. I would wait for the 5th elements but they're only releasing up to a size 10.5 and my big foot will not even be close to fitting. I'm so happy to see one of the og companies putting out a great product and having a killer team

    • @BrandonDrummond
      @BrandonDrummond  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    That rail looks fun. City is going to do work to our park. It's all broken and falling apart. There's people pushing to cover it. I hope that's not what happens. I hope we get things to skate.

    Hey,
    I've had the M12s the USD UFS Throne (personal fave) and some XSJADOs. I've also tried my friends' Razors SL, usd Carbons and REMZ (way too flexy).
    And I find my self wondering: From the 90s all the way to 2010-2015, give or take, every brand was trying to improve on the older skates. I doubt everything was done just to brag some new innovation. With that in mind, I cannot see how the M12 and similar boots like the THEM e.g. can be considered better or even equally good to most of the newer designs. Personally, I feel it's mainly the marketing and the Pros brands like ROCES etc have managed to get over the past few years.
    Any thoughts?

    • @BrandonDrummond
      @BrandonDrummond  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you're on to something there. I think the pros greatly effect how I feel about a skate, But that only goes so far.If a skate is bad people will stop skating it. I think the main point is you can't ever say 1 skate is better than another because its all preference. Some people like a stiff skate, some people like a flexy one. Some people want huge souls others want smaller. There's definitely a point to be made tho. Cheers for the comment.

    Do you ever find that the center grind plate is too narrow in relation to the inner two wheels? that it eats up the inner two wheels and they get in the way? I loved my Roces back in the day but this is what I found to be the case so I had to remove the inner two wheels, which wasn't ideal. Because of that reason I am now looking into getting Razors.

    • @BrandonDrummond
      @BrandonDrummond  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think thats just a flat issue. Some frames with a lower h block should help. I havnt had much issue with that in there skates.

  • @atkhk1

    Maybe make a pvc rail. You probably could get a 3-4 meter pipe and make a rail. That may be good if you want to make some tutorials with out getting to Tree Tops.

    Is it true the M12s run/fit small?

    • @BrandonDrummond
      @BrandonDrummond  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They run narrow. So if you have a wide foot you may no fit them.

    • @TayTheDay
      @TayTheDay 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BrandonDrummond Still decent though 👌
      Darkside is when you approach a box or ledge that you can grind the opposite side of, and 'topside' the far away edge. So a darkside kind grind would look like an a/o mizu as you jump over the ledge then land kind grind on the opposite edge. Wow that's so annoying to describe 😂
