    It was a great learning experience and the downs and ups of layout construction in a nutshell. This means both the original 3-hour stream and the synopsis version.

    Hi Heath, Yes I thoroughly enjoyed your edit of the live stream. Since I work Sundays (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) I'm not able to catch the live streams and this edit fits very nicely into my schedule. My favorite "Elbow Grease" track cleaning product is my Cratex Cleaning Block ( yankeedabbler.com/all-scales-wal-949-522-cratex-abrasive-block-xf/ ) They call it "abrasive", but in my opinion the Cratex Block is less abrasive than a "Bright Boy" and does a great job of cleaning the track on my Hollow Core Door layout. Cheers, Rich S.

    • @HumancityJunction
      @HumancityJunction 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rich, The Perfect Cleaner (by Perfect Parts) is not a Bright Boy. It is almost more like just an eraser. That is the yellow block I was using.
      I also have the Walthers Cratex. I was trying to just buy some Cratex from an industrial supplier, but eventually just got the walthers.
      I am trying to use the minimum abrasive possible to avoid unnecessay scratches on the track.
      Thanks for watching and commenting. -Heath

    Glad you got a train running . That's some bundle of wires you have . What's it all for ?

    • @HumancityJunction
      @HumancityJunction 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jerry, All of my projects are really just preparation for building my dream layout. Every track on every module is on it's own individual block. The device in the center is the block detection device that will send the information back to JMRI Panel Pro. I will create a display that will show when a block is occupied or not, so you can virtually see the locomotive traveling around the layout.
      On this size layout, it is completely overkill. But it is all about experimenting with technology on a small scale that I eventually plan to use on a much bigger scale.
      Thanks for watching -Heath
