Love the wagon. I'm building one myself, but for my daughter, she saw yours and loved it. Hers is a 1951

This rig is an inspiration! You can be at an event or just out wheeling and there will be umpteen thousand TJ, JK, JL, X~Z~WJ's but a flatty of any kind shows up the rest of the rigs just kinda disappear 🇺🇸👍🇺🇸

I think you overcame your fears. Looking good. You should watch Ian Roussels,Russell, CUSTOM GARAGE, on Motor Trend, his attitude towards bodywork could be inspirational.

Love you since the powerblock days. Super cool builds and fab advice without all the sponsor bs and commercials. I’m not a TH-cam pro but I’d like to see longer episodes. My son and I watch them together (he’s 11) and he hates seeing the ice blocks...the episodes are over before we are ready lol. To sum it up, we are big fans, you have mad skills, this episode format seems awkward, especially with the whisky glass at the end...it’s weird!!

I seen a guy that lays his sheet metal over the old about a inch larger or so carefully tacks it on around the new panel then using a cut off wheel at 45 degree angle to get a smaller kerk then tack the panels together for a perfect fit to each other

those old willys station wagons had absolutely no protection from the salt and rust. on the beach we used to spray the entire underside with used engine oil, that kept the brake lines from rusting

Nice work with the body lines. DIY bodywork is doing a good enough job so you are happy with it. And sheetmetal can only bend so may ways so may times. I grew up near"The Falls" past M-ville. I hope you and yours are well these days. Cheers Chris.

@@BigTireGarage I have watched you build stuff on tv going way back to the Spike tv.. Extreme 4x4 show. Cool stuff. Back then I think Stacey David did a Willys on his Trucks show..it was green with wood panels. Your's is going to turn out great with all the things you did in the past. Looking forward to learning more stuff. 👍

I want a restmod willys wagon with the 2.4. Sea foam green. Wood in the back deck. Chrome roof rack. Steel wheels. Warn upright with ship rope wrapped front bumper, full on 1960s counterculture but I work and do mushrooms glory.

I'm kind of dreading cutting the body of my 52 willys wagon. I need to move the rear wheel wells back about 10". I stretched it out to 117" wheelbase.

I find sheet metal work to be the biggest PITA on a build. Suspension, drivetrain, interior, and electrical seem easy compared to the tedious process of body work.

Sheet metal is not the part I can’t stand it’s all the prep. Seems like I sand then sand then sand and when it’s all done I’ll prim it and sand again. And I hate the dust but it’s sure nice to see the paint lay out flat and if it’s a dark color it’s worth it ! Keep it up as I lift my glass cheers.

You might want to show people how to clearance a body panel. I know you did it on your "old media platform...ie power nation
" but I think you have a lot of new people watching this that have seen that

Love the content and for sure miss you on the power nation. Negatives are shorten up the intro and end, were not watching for whiskey drinking in the end and to tell us what you are doing in this episode. The episode describes already does that. Thx great willy's build so far, plus no green blower. Power nations willys build is such an abortion at this point I've unsuubscribed
