I've got an old Chauvet Gigbar LT. The thing that gets in my crawl about these type lights is you usually put them up to about 8 ft or so, and they provide you with about a 5 to 6 ft power cord. I'd pay an extra $5 to $10 up front for the product if it had a power cord that would at least reach the floor.

I personally love the orange extension cord look! :)

Great video! Wondering can the BTAir app be used on 4Bar Quad? Or adapted to be used? Can’t find any info on it, hopefully you can offer some advice. Cheers!

Is the chauvet BT air app reliable in 2024? It seems to have very bad reviews

By the time you see this ill probably have bought it but I want to know if you can control each light individually or group two into two different groups so say I want to have two lights face me but on a solid color and the other two at the dance floor on like a fade or flash effect? If you can let me know so I know what to look forward to!

I'm following the exact same steps you have...and I cannot get my phone to pair with the two 4Bar LTBT light sets. "No Fixtures Found" Cant get them to sync when I connect them with an XLR...just NOT as simple as you have shown. Thoughts?

I really don't know.. I have set them to blue tooth, and the phone or ipads connect pretty much right away..

Hi Larry, here are the steps to connect both the lights.
Step 1 - Go to the Menu behind the light, then select ble (Bluetooth mode), then hit enter.
Step 2 - Go to the app on your phone and select paring mode.
Step 3 - On your phone select the light and hit connect. It matches the light number which you can also see behind the light on small digital screen.
Step 4 - Repeat step 3 but, add the next light to another group on your phone (app).
You won’t need any cable to connect them both.
Just follow those steps and you should be good 😊

Does the app work with the Gig Bar 2?

No.. only with the BT versions of Chauvet DJ lights.

Just curious what would happen if you replaced some of the fixtures from your new 4barLT quadBT with some of the fixtures from say a Gigbar 2. I'm thinking the Derby's. I wonder if it would work?? I'm sure they have the same little connectors. hint hint

I Can't Lie so bare with me on this .......... I Know A Lot of Dj's are all about "small" compact setups today, but every single client i get is all about "that awesome light show" and "that booming, thumping System". I Always take my 3 section triangle truss to gigs. I Load it up with about 10 to 12 lights (2 - Chauvet Intimidator scan 305's/2 - Chauvet Mini Kintas/2 - Chauvet Scorpion dual fat beam lasers(dmx patterns if i can't use fog)/1 - Chauvet Rotosphere Q3(as a center piece)/& usually either just the Chauvet 6Spot at the top/center or i'll do the entire top with 4 - Chauvet Slimpar Q12 BT's. My point is,Don't you (the other dj) miss setting up and having a big Light show ? I Know times have changed, but seriously,it doesn't Hinder my ability to Preform one bit ! So,where the hell did this baby light show shit come from ?

I personally like a big show, but around here it all about speed. Venue managers give you an hour to get in and an hour (Max) to get out before they get irritable or charge the clients extra fees.

@@DayNNyteDJs yeah i get the venues doing it. I Mean the venues here just allow clients to rent them out and then Time isn't a factor except when it comes to what the client paid for. I Was just meaning it's becoming this trend i see everywhere now,dj's just wanting to have these micro setups and personally,i don't see it lol.

I'm with you though I don't have the lighting rig you have. From a sound system perspective, it's similar. I know some DJs have speed setups won't bring a sub. 2, 15's on poles, and they are done. But I just don't feel right about that. I'll at LEAST bring a pair of 12" subs so the music has punch to it. I feel the brides deserve at least that. I will also bring a facade, light it up with uplighting, and provide some form of lighting on the dance floor. All of this is just standard because to me that's the least I should do. I think a lot of DJs offer the multiple or a la carte type of packages. (making up numbers) $500 gets you 2, 15s on poles, an event stand, 1 gig bar. $750 will get you a sub along with that. Etc... etc... I just price a reasonable price and everything at my disposal will be used where it makes sense to (i.e. not bringing my 18" subs to a 50x50 room)

I need to see what you are doing on the app. Not very helpful.
