I am a distress ink/distress oxide noob, as in I just ordered my first few ink pads ever a couple of hours ago lol, but I'm blown away by how epic they are and your blend series here has been amazing at not only seeing what they can do a little bit, but also what the colors actually look like. You have opened my mind to the possibilities of those colors that I, too, sometimes neglect-mostly among Tim's original grungy tones. But I'm amazed at how beautifully they blend together. I'm watching this series before I order more colors to round out my collection, and you've convinced me that-surprise!-I need them all. Well, maybe except for Brushed Corduroy-a color I've never warmed up to. Thanks so much for the inspiration (and enabling)!

Thank you so very much for doing this. This was super helpful not only to see combinations that I liked and maybe ones not so much, but also just be able to see every color actually on paper. So many of them that like you said you really don't see used very much I really liked. I just bought my first set of 12 and I'm kind of thinking I may not buy all the sets but just kind of pick and choose the colors that I really like. That'll likely be most of them but I'm not really into all the pinks and reds. I think spun sugar and picked raspberry I can handle for pink but that's about it. But it was so good to see those because I would never have given spun-sugar another thought without seeing it. This was really fantastic and I appreciate you building those forearm muscles for the cause. Who says stamping isn't exercise?!?! lol

Saw you in Columbus at the Create event but you were busy and when I came back you were gone. Just wanted to thank you for all the great videos. Always learn so much. I really like the Iced Spruce color combo. I think its a very underrated color. I used it with Tattered Rose and Black to make a galaxy background and it turn out beautiful! Very light and romantic. You should try it!

Thanks for making blending easier for me. Jennifer McGuire cleaned out her craft supplies and boxed them up for sale. They each sold for 100.00 and all the funds went to a charity. Even though I was not chosen to buy one I thought this was a great idea! Maybe you could do something like this too.

I would really love to get a list of all the color combos in this Series and also every color of the Destress Oxide Inks! And I have a question please. You mentioned you were purging so I was was wondering if you have & would be willing to sell MFT Happy Pandas Stamp Set? This is the set I've been trying to get a hold of for years. It's my Absolute Favorite Unicorn Stamp Set & that's why I wanted to contact them as you suggested, but not even a response. Even if it's used if you don't have it or know someone with it. There is one place online but they won't ship to the USA. Anyway if you can help I'd really appreciate it. ❤😘
No 1 and no 4 were a definite yes for this warm color lover, and the seedless preserves looks especially awesome to me. No 2 was ok and no 3 not for me at all, I love both the peeled paint and chipped sapphire but just don't like them together like that. Also, the chipped sapphire which is one of my fav of the standard distress inks looks a lot less vibrant in the oxide version for some reason, is this the case? TFS :)
I think the Oxides are generally less vibrant than the regular Distress inks. Since the Oxides have the pigment infused with the dye ink, they just tend to be more chalky and less bold. Not that that's a problem; just a different look. Some of the Oxides I like much more than their regular Distress counterparts (like Old Paper) possibly because the color is more "mellow" as a result of that unique formulation. :)
@@andrealavigne7824 Thanks for this. I agree that some of the oxides look even better than the regulars, but others not so much and I think it's precisely because of what you've said. I'm not a big blue person but the chipped sapphire in the regular is stunning to me, whereas other strong colors like seedless preserves, forest moss and aged mahogany (more of my favs) look just as good in both. :)

Can Distress Oxide Ink and Distress Ink be blended together with the same great results you get?
I haven't ever used them together like that. But you could experiment and try it on your own. :)
