    He is a legend. It’s a shame he couldn’t see that if he’d put just the minimal amount of effort into his family life he might’ve held it together. A real man from a world that isn’t there anymore. Love listening to him talk it’s almost therapeutic.

      Man, I honestly don’t think he thought his wife would leave.
      I wouldn’t say he took them for granted, just trusted her to be their no matter what. That’s what marriage is about right, through sickness or health.

      I dont want to take a piss at this man legacy but we sound sad, go see 2:30 we wasn´t drinking becuase of physical pain it was out loneliness, i been there and i can feel it with every word we says, solitude is wicked way of life.

    A very hardworking man. Loved his steam engines and was not afraid to roll his sleeves up and just get stuck in. Liked a few drinks aswell 😂

    i saw him a time or two, around bolton, once on his engine, and once when he came to where i worked to get his hands on some parts he wanted for his engine.. miss that guy.

      This is where families and wives can fall out-nothing like money to sort the wheat from the chaff, so to speak. So terribly sad that Fred’s monumental efforts were not his to enjoy in old age, he died so young. R.I.P Big Man, you were unique.

      dont forget he did normal work 2 and did other peoples engines while doing his own he never stopped working only when he got sick and still he lived on 3 years longer then the doctors gave em he finished the engine and made a tour around england with it that guy drove many miles going 5 miles an hour or less on than steam engine magnificant
