A very interesting movie. Sadly this happens in real life. Ruth, the wife and mother was the cause of the abusive husband's death and daughter's being taken to jail. Fred the husband should have been in jail several times but refusing to press charges kept him out, whereas if in jail he could have received counseling, therapy, so type of help. I found this movie very aggravating the woman who stays in this situation with so many people behind her supporting her was very stupid to her own self and her children… setting a bad example to her children,,, it’s not okay for any man to beat a woman or hit a woman. Am a woman of domestic violence i had no support no where to run to and I made my mind up to fight back and fight back I did and I threatened and that was the very last time my partner at the time ever layed his hands on me… so I found it very infuriating to see that the character had so many way out and support and did nothing to help herself. A very interesting movie. Sadly this happens in real life. Ruth, the wife and mother was the cause of the abusive husband's death and daughter's being taken to jail. Fred the husband should have been in jail several times but refusing to press charges kept him out, whereas if in jail he could have received counseling, therapy, so type of help. I found this movie very aggravating the woman who stays in this situation with so many people behind her supporting her was very stupid to her own self and her children… setting a bad example to her children,,, it’s not okay for any man to beat a woman or hit a woman. Am a woman of domestic violence i had no support no where to run to and I made my mind up to fight back and fight back I did and I threatened and that was the very last time my partner at the time ever layed his hands on me… so I found it very infuriating to see that the character had so many way out and support and did nothing to help herself. And who paid the cost her child…
