I can’t be the only one who lets these videos play in the background while I try to sleep every night… there’s just something about it- it brings me back to being 2 years old and falling asleep in the cart-seat while my mother collected the things we needed… it’s such a weird thing to find so soothing but this channel in particular does such wonders for my anxiety when it comes to sleeping- I adore it, I don’t think I’d have been able to sleep so easily without these videos :’)

I'm 58 with a 24 year old disabled daughter and raising 5 grandchildren ages 5-16. I love this channel but honestly I can't keep up with Alicia, she is such an inspiration. I have used lots of her recipes and can totally relate to her laundry😉

As an Irish person, I can confirm you made the best choice for stout with Guinness! 🎉 Chocolate cake made with Guinness is amazing, sounds odd but it gives it a lovely rich flavour!
Yes it is amazing! I make this every few months for the bdays of friends. On top there is this creamcheese and suger glace and makes it even more delicious.

Who else watches when they are going through a tough difficult time? Watching your videos has helped me in many ways I have ADD and I am 28 but for some reason your videos make me happy 😊 and realize there is still good people in this world
Why keep buying new toothbrushes? Just disinfect them.
•Mix 1 teaspoon of peroxide in 1 cup of water.
Swish the bristles of your toothbrush in the solution or soak for 15 minutes.
Rinse your toothbrush with water before brushing.
If you decide to soak your toothbrush in the solution, change the solution every day
my mom used to buy me and my sister one or two ornaments each year since we were five. by the time i got married I had enough ornaments to decorate my tree. and each one has a memory now that my mom has passed.
Do your kids carry hand sanitizer attached their backpack that can cut down on germs
Consider spending some of this to donate to your local food bank. People are really hurting out there with the prices of food right now. The older kids could even help you at a soup kitchen. Giving back teaches children so much.
I think she must do! There is no way even with 14 people they go through all she buys. I'm from a very large family and we don't eat a quarter of what she buys!
Her garage already looks like a food bank but yet she just keeps buying more. Oh, but that's so everybody will watch. Hoarder..
Just a reminder that sometimes she buys more for like a week and a half or she hasn't shopped in a while so she needed to stock up

Does alot of food go to waste?
Why don’t you buy the staples in bulk ? … flour, rice, beans, sugars, oil and pastas get them delivered right to your door store in air tight tubs.. saves $ and your never out for months…
Then we wouldn't have these videos.
With having such a large family...I'm glad to see you have a large pantry & freezer stock. Alot of people don't realise when the flu season hits...you could have kids getting sick at different times up to 3 weeks out. That's when having all that extra food will come in handy. With sick children you won't be leaving the house.

You need to do a freezer and pantry challenge. You have so much food not getting eaten. I am sure you could make a lot of meals with that you have in all those fridge/freezer and food shelves. Be creative and have fun

Have you ever thought about NOT doing such a large grocery haul for a couple weeks? Just get the necessities like milk and bread. Prepare meals with what you have in stock in your pantry area. It seems like you have very little room for what you have. I bet you could go at least 2 wks on canned goods and pasta.
She should plan meals on the food she has and use some of it up before it expires. I bet she could go a month with her stockpile and only buy perishables.

If you watch our tribe of many (really like the channel) she purchases a lot on line. All her meat, cheeses, etc. I don’t see them purchase a lot of snacks either.
Sarah doesn't but sugar, or a lot of snacks, and she buys her flour and beans and rice in bulk.

I'm confused why not fix the septic problem so u can wash clothes at home or hire a laundry service..I will I had the food budget u have I am price comparison everything I been to Wegmans both times I was in jersey ..
I believe it's an issue with the city and connecting to it. It's on the city's time frame I'm guessing.

It must be much faster to do use several machines to do all of the washing and drying in one go, than having to do individual washes for twelve people. If it were me I’d get rid of the home washer and dryer and use the laundromat all the time. 🙂

Dont put too much guiness in the Irish stew you.ll ruin it use more beef stock thicken with cornstarch mix of water another traditional dish boiled bacon with cabbage and boiled or steamed spuds with half pound of Kerry gold butter on top of the spuds with salt, full irish breakfast is my favourite u should give it a go 😋
Question why don't you utilize Costco for what they have..like buying your cleaning supplies,cereal and snacks? It's a much better buy

my OCD working overtime. you bought an enormous pack of paper plates at Costco yesterday, and also tons of kidney beans. You also got a lot of cereal and bananas. I wish you could be honest and not overshop an overspend.
Sometimes the timeline of when videos are posted is not same as when they were recorded. Your yesterday may not be Alicia's yesterday. She often mentions that she is behind on posting videos.

At Costco she got paper bowls 3 days b4 this video and for the chili he likes to use light and dark kidney beans and Costco only had 1 kind
I love watching your grocery hauls. I went shopping this week and I ended up with two cards cause I bought another shelving unit to make a panty. Which is awesome cause since moving to the country this way I can stock up for a month.

Maybe for the kids that don't like sports maybe there is fun learning activity like cooking class or photography or painting or pottery class. I don't know how you do all you do. It makes me feel like my life isn't as busy stressful. God bless
It's a lot of work to feed so many children. I give you props for this. It's not easy to do this day after day. It takes plenty of food to cook for all those kids, and you are doing a fantastic job 🙌🏾🙌🏾👍🏼. It's shameful to see some of the discouraging and insulting comments on here - a real lack of empathy and just rude. I buy the same Sargentos 'Balanced Breaks'. I'm diabetic & they are the perfect protein & carbs to aid with crashes. 🥰 They are yummy too.
22 years ago I found 'Pirate Booty' at Trader Joe's. Here in the Pacific Northwest 🌲🌲🥰 and like Harley, I too like veggies sticks with my hummus 🥰💐💜💚💙

When I do cinnamon rolls. I make a half cup of heavy cream and brown sugar and melt a half stick of butter. First melt of stick of butter when add half cup of brown sugar and half cup of heavy cream into a small mixing bowl. Half cup brown sugar to one can of cinnamon rolls and half cup of heavy cream to one of cinnamon rolls and half stick of butter to one can of cinnamon rolls.first put cinnamon rolls in a baking pan. Mix the heavy cream and brown sugar and melt butter together then spoon and the mixer of the heavy cream and brown sugar melt butter all over the cinnamon rolls. Cover the cinnamon rolls and for 10-15 mins cover then take off the cover off the cinnamon rolls and bake for 15-25 mins with the cover off. Bake at 350

Okay, question. Is it normal to use paper bowls and plates instead of ceramic ones? I'm from Belgium and we rarely, if ever, use paper plates..
Is it to lessen the amount of washing up? Isn't it bad for the environment? Been asking myself ever since I've starting watching the Dougherty family.
I think there is a problem with their sewer or something and are waiting for their house to be connected to the public sewers. That's why they don't use dishwasher or washer at home.
Its because of their septic issues
I lived in Ireland for many years. The stew was thick & had no potatoes in it. Instead, they mashed them & made a circle on the plate with it & put the stew in the middle 🥰. Beef, carrots, LEEKS, parsnips and 🧅 onions. (+OXO cubes / beef bullion) Only the Pubs used beer in the stew. 💐 My secret ingredient was a packet of oxtail soup 🍲 mix. Drool, now I gotta make some. LOL
Oh, and Shepherd's Pie is soo yummy too. 🥰 OMG, I think I'm hungry 😂
I got all I missed from Amazon too. Try 'Jaffa cakes or chocolate covered digestive biscuits ' for a sweet treat. 💜💚💙
Ooohh yes thats my secret ingrediant...oxtail soup. My mam makes her stew with potatoes but i prefer mine mashed. I sometimes make meatballs for my stew and put into the slow cooker for 6 hrs. Sooo tasty 🥰

The minced beef is so red, or pink every time I see it I can’t believe how bright it is, does it have lots of colours pumped into it? I think I would have to buy some other meat, it looks as if it has come from the river in The Simpsons! My family and I rarely eat meat 🥩 we prefer the vegetarian diets! Is Thanksgiving a bigger holiday than Christmas? We have Christmas Day and Boxing Day it really is nice having the two days, does the U.S have only one day? I did live in the US when I was a teenager we didn’t celebrate thanksgiving as we are British!
They don't have boxing day in usa. The 25th seems to be the biggest Christmas day. In Finland we celebrate Christmas December 24. Eat and open presents. Then leftovers on Christmas day and maybe boxing day. I'm glad we don't have Thanksgiving since it's so close to Christmas lol it would feel like too much. Christmas is stressful enough.

If you have Carvel ice cream in your part of the country, you can go right to the shop and pick them up.
Guinnness is totally Irish. It's a terrific stout and is awesome in chocolate cake.

Love your videos. You might want to try Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, and Fuji apples for a change, the are all so very tasty. Maybe have a taste test where the kids rank their favorite.
You through about buying your kids lil critters vitamin to help with immune system. I brought my younger cousin some year ago you can see different after they take. Do your kids get flu shots every year for the flu.

I have a white dry erase board on all fridges n freezer with a ist of what is in them n chk off when something removed or taken out so I know at all times what I have. same with panty I keep running total so every few months when I shop I know what I need or don't need

Here’s a Vlog idea….shop from your Garage for a week without going to Wegmans Walmart or wholesale. Reality is that when these kids move out they will need to learn unlimited grocery shopping is not reality.
My mom made me try a few sports as a kid & I didn't enjoy them at all! Since I liked riding my bike & played outside enough she was fine with me not doing sports but encouraged music instead. I definitely think concert band & then marching band instilled the character trains sports do. 💖

Hi from Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪. I can give you loads of Irish recipes. Trifle is a yummy dessert and super easy to make. Coddle or Stew is a must. Cabbage, ham and mash, my favourite 😍.
