Charlemagne cannot be the Grand Saber unfortunately, Joyeuse is not meant for war but ceremony, its a rulers sword, hence why he uses the power of all other paladin with the NP. In a way its like Caliburn, a powerfull sword made for the king, but not one that would define the terms of "Saber". Roland could be the grand Saber as he is holding what is essentially a weaker Excalibur overrall with 3 shots potentially stronger and far more versatile than excalibur (3 wishes due to Gods energy inside, broken af for a non divine sword someone like Emiya could trace), but Roland himself doesnt have history by his side considering his legend only comes from the Paladin's tale and his death. If we wanna know Grand Saber we shouldnt look toward Charlemagne and his Paladins.

For whatever reason , his royal guard and cavalry were always huge men , so he was "short" in comparisson to them , so the others made propaganda and mockery out of that.
You just need to talk to the right character when they pop up in the base, while you also have the other conversation character tagging along as your active Servant.
