- What Happened After Ram Defeated Ravan In Valmiki Ramayan
The story of the Ramayana continues even after Ravana's defeat, showing the deep emotions and moral lessons involved. After Ravana was killed, his brother Vibhishana was filled with grief. Despite their differences, Vibhishana mourned his brother's death deeply. Rama, recognizing the honor in a warrior's death, comforted Vibhishana and encouraged him to perform Ravana's funeral rites with respect. As Vibhishana prepared the funeral pyre, Ravana's wives, led by Mandodari, were deeply sorrowful, mourning the fallen king. After the rites, Rama kept his promise and crowned Vibhishana as the new king of Lanka. With peace restored in Lanka, Rama focused on reuniting with Sita and asked Vibhishana to bring her to him. Vibhishana respectfully informed Sita that her husband awaited her. Sita, eager to see Rama, initially hesitated to go through the usual customs of bathing and dressing up. However, she understood the importance of following Rama's wishes and complied. When Sita finally stood before Rama, her joy quickly turned to pain. Rama, torn between his love for her and concerns about her time in another man's house, questioned her purity.
