I can imagine him as an eleven year old, the same age as my grandson now. I'm so glad he testified to that horrible time in his life. May we never forget...

Mr. Waisman, your testimony is one of the most heartwrenching and touching that I have watched and I’ve watched quite a few. God bless your heart. Your account is of the utmost importance… thank you is not enough. I am holding on tight to the belief that kindness will again save us humans from all madness in the world

Mr. Waiseman’s interview is so moving. I am grateful to this gentleman for sharing testimony with us. I was uncomfortable when the interviewer, Fran Starr, interrupted Mr. Waiseman’s interview repeatedly. Mr. Waiseman, I am sorry that you lost your beloved family. I am so glad you made a happy life after the Holocaust. My thanks to Mr. Waiseman, Ms. Starr, Steven Spielberg, and the USC Shoal Foundation Institute.

This is such an important testimony the interruptions are so unnerving because you could truly listen to his story for 5 hours straight and not notice 5 hours passed..he is very strong person and yet if you didn't know he went through this terrible thing you would never suspect he did given his patience and gently manner

Robbie's such a sweet man, he apologies when he cries. Don't ever apologise for being a great human. So kind, good and strong. His children are his treasure. I just don't know how anyone recovers from this.

I really wish he would have told the 10 more things he mentioned at the end. I could have listened to him for much longer. What a heartbreaking story, and for a child to go through this is unimaginable, yet so many did. Good interviewer as well, you just let him talk, thank you. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Mr Waisman for your testimony. I have lost count of the number of testimonies I have watched over the past few years and each one never fails to make an impact on me.
I am delighted to know that you are still with us, and I hope you and your family are doing well. Much love from Scotland.

If you are complaining about the video production there is something wrong with you. This was made in the 90s on reel to tape. Reel to reel tapes are only so many minutes long. They had to change tapes and editing was very difficult.

Shame on politicians and broadcasters who have collectively failed to provide a platform for survivors of the Holocaust to regularly address the world so that the lessons of history might not be forgotten so quickly.

Two seperate observations... This mans recounting of HIS experience was one of the most HUMANIZING that I have heard. The reminiscence of various people in his pathway that did the UNEXPECTED and in the middle of such barbarity let a light of compassion show through just was so uplifting. His soft spokeness and ability to let his EMOTIONS show through repeatedly was NOT distracting in any way but so deeply moving as it became obvious that as horrific as what he went through was it did not CRIPPLE HIM and rob him of the ability to FEEL. Thank God for this man and his willingness to so openly share his story with the world.

There is also an interview with Leon Bass. The Black soldier who liberated him. However; towards the end is when he speaks of Mr. Waisman. Leon Bass gives great insight and you become wrapped up in the story. He's such a great speaker it may come off as if he's reading a really great story! Please watch it here on TH-cam.

Wtf? The interviewer rudely takes breaks right in the middle of him telling his nightmare. Seems very cold of her. This guy is baring his soul and his experience in this living hell and shes like...we are taking a break now cutting him off. And then she can't even pronounce some of the names of the camps that he had mentioned. And her questions have no compassion.

1990s technology I doubt she did it on purpose due to some nefarious reason. If she was so "cold" she wouldn't even be there because she wouldn't care what happened to this beautiful man.

I agree that the editing of these videos leaves much to be desired however it is a small price to pay to hear testimony directly from the people involved. Afterwards, my thoughts are never about an alarm or a telephone ringing.

My SECOND observation is more practical. In testimony after testimony I notice the PHONE RINGING IN THE BACKGROUND! I don't know it they are still recording any of these but really , it is obvious they have been given a script or outline of Questions to ask each interviewee , can they not also put in there UNPLUG THE PHONES and set Cel Phones on VIBRATE rather than that ringing ringing ringing that no one seems to answer anyway?
