Hi, I'm not a professional tailor, but I used your video to learn how to add a hoodie to my daughter's costume. It turned out perfect. That's my first thanks. The other thanks is for the step where you cut the fabric for the hoodie and the subtitles say "Wing it!". It was so relaxing to see that "wing it" is fine and if something turns out wrong you can fix it or start all over again. So a big big thank you, I learned a lot from you!
Love your video you are very talented!!!I am going to turn myh misfits shirt into a zip up hoodie today and a little nerveous!!I usually make hoodies from scratch so im not sure if this hoodie will come out right because I have never tried it.But you inspired me to give it a shot!!!
haha good question! its like a 1 in a million chance of breaking your needle. just know when you're sewing heavy duty material to go slow! be a smart sewer :) i leave the pins in when something needs to be held together/or when i'm lazy. but i sew with pins all the time, its not a big deal :D its dangerous because it can break your needle. one time i broke my needle and a piece flew and hit my forehead! but that wasn't even with pins in it, the material was just thick. it depends on the material
Coolirpa, love your designs! Mind if I copy them? LOL! I used to do things like that with my t-shirts, I am 62 almost 63, & my grankids would love these!
could i hand sew that?... btw i love your vids u r so amazing an to say you come up with most of these by yourself that is a creative mind you have there
Nice! Very fun project. I still don't know how to hem circular things >.< always seems to end up uneven. I've seen you sew some stuff with the pins left in the fabric. When I was in home ec. they made it sound like if you did that then the needle would hit a pin and break off and you would die. Are there some situations where you leave the pins in and some that you don't?
what size t for an 8 year old? Btw, I love your videos. Would you consider transforming clothes for the younger generation? 8 to 13... This grandma could really use the ideas. I have learned so much that I bought a machine and have been showing my girls to use it. . Spending hours without a tan, how awesome is that. . ty
Hello, in my country we have different sizes so an XL is an american M... Make a hoodie that firts the head and look out for a bigger size in which that hoodie has place in it. Hust a tip from someone that struggles too with tshirts sizes!
Big tip that's pretty fun, go to your local Thrift store and buy 2 cheap shirts. One that you like, and one that has the same color or whatever color you want to cut for the hood. Then you can have a shirt your exact size and use the other shirt for cutting. It allows for a variety of combinations/patterns. Have fun!
