8:55 - Those were the good old days when parents knew how to discipline their children.

It’s interesting to reflect on how parenting styles have changed over the years. Discipline definitely looks different now!

@@RareMomentsInHistory Of course I was joking but there is a grain of truth in every joke, sometimes more than a grain.
Discipline is absolutely necessary in raising children. No parent wants to have to resort to raising a stick to their child, but when it's necessary, it is out of love.
When you let them run wild and walk all over you, you are creating little monsters and "Karens".
My Dad disciplined me, sometimes more than enough and sometimes unnecessarily, but when I grew up, I thanked him for it.

Haha, I guess every parent needs a little "Karens-be-gone" potion in their arsenal! But seriously, it’s all about finding that sweet spot, right?

@@RareMomentsInHistory Yes! It's effortless to spoil our children, but to discipline them is hard, but worth the effort. The world can do without more "Kevins" and "Karens" !!!

Enjoy seeing these collections of vintage photos. Just wanted to note that black "cowboys' have been around for centuries. The term "cowboy" in the US was originally assigned to black men while white handlers doing the same work, were called cowhands.

Absolutely! It's important to acknowledge the rich history and contributions of black cowboys in shaping the culture of the American West. Thanks for sharing that insight!

Could someone explain to me the photo at 2:39, i.e., "Vintage Family Photo, "A nostalgic image of a grandmother and her grandchild"
The kid smoking at 4:00: they started 'em young back then.

The photo does have some interesting features, doesn’t it? Vintage photography often had its quirks, and the costumes were definitely a reflection of the time. As for the kid, it’s wild to think about how different things were back then!

The wild Australian Children title to this photograph could not be further from the truth. I would say these people have been affected by the Zika virus, which is not present in Australia. Happy to be corrected. 😊

How is that child holding the chicken when he isnt even touching it?

It’s definitely a fun illusion! Sometimes it looks like magic when kids interact with animals!

Obviously the vintage photo of a grandmother is a joke. On what planet does a grandma look like that ‼️ I can’t believe you are acting like this is normal.

I appreciate your perspective! Vintage photos can definitely be surprising, and it's interesting to see how styles and perceptions of age have changed over time.

The Indians should have been there forever. That's their land!!! The Yanks killed most of the others. I'm so sorry 😞😞😞

@@RareMomentsInHistory Yes it was the Europeans that did it. And I'm a Brit so my family did some killing too probably. I hate that!! 😡😭
