I have one of these sitting around in the attic but the one of the battery springs has corroded. Is it easy enough to resolve or is it likely there is internal damage as well?
All FD mount lenses, except for the T80 lenses, are manual focus. You should be able to run an old FD lens on the T80 with no real problems. Thanks for watching.
Certainly not worth $100. The "T" series cameras were a commercial failure. The primitive auto focus, if you can call it that, sucked. I bought one in '86, shot like five rolls of film on it, then shelved it and went back to using my Ae-1 and A1.
@@michaeltuffin8147 I mostly just want it for the collectable element since they’re rare and have historical significance, plus I think it would just be fun to try.
I got one today for £20 in england, it looks like its in great condition, it's literally my first film Camera, I'm a beginner. What have i done.😂😂 Is the 100 tmax the best film to use, I'll be shooting marionettes outdoors mainly, macro will be essential.
It's a great film camera to star on. Fully auto, and then you can experiment. What have you done? Most likely started a journey that will fill your house with some of most interesting film cameras from history. I'm liking the 100TMax even though I wanted to like Ilford. All that expired Tmax that I videoed earlier has shot really well.
your videos have been priceless to me, so thank for the clear info, my camera jargon is in it's infancy so both vids really helped. Last week i had two digi camera's, now I've got two digi cameras and 6 different film cameras, 🤔 somebody could have warned me this is addictive ☺️ I hope you have a video on the Olympus om 101, i grabbed one of those to. To great journey's 🥂
That's a cool looking camera
It does have its charms. Lol
Pretty sure I'm going to buy accessories for it and shoot the hell out of it.
And I did. See my new video.

Try vinegar on a Q-tip.
Cool little shooter. Kinda like a real fancy point and shoot, with range.
Do you get some help for manually focusing with 'normal' FD-lenses like in the AL-1?

@@comfortablyblind6853 The Canon AL-1 has a focus help in the viewfinder, and it's used with FD-lenses.
How much did you pay for it? I am not sure I can justify $100 for one.
All together, $40.00 American.

Great price, by the way.
