"Most cases of water poisoning do not result from simply drinking too much water, says Joseph Verbalis, chairman of medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center. It is usually a combination of excessive fluid intake and increased secretion of vasopression (also called antidiuretic hormone), he explains. Produced by the hypothalamus and secreted into the bloodstream by the posterior pituitary gland, vasopressin instructs the kidneys to conserve water. Its secretion increases in periods of physical stress-during a marathon, for example-and may cause the body to conserve water even if a person is drinking excessive quantities. Every hour, a healthy kidney at rest can excrete 800 to 1,000 milliliters, or 0.21 to 0.26 gallon, of water and therefore a person can drink water at a rate of 800 to 1,000 milliliters per hour without experiencing a net gain in water, Verbalis explains. If that same person is running a marathon, however, the stress of the situation will increase vasopressin levels, reducing the kidney's excretion capacity to as low as 100 milliliters per hour. Drinking 800 to 1,000 milliliters of water per hour under these conditions can potentially lead a net gain in water, even with considerable sweating, he says."

most people do not need to drink even half a gallon of water, we need to INGEST aroun 2L every day (for a 180cm person of medium build), which takes into acocunt water coming from food + non water drinks
Yep. While there are some people who are fine doing this for the time being, low sodium or electrolyte imbalance can be very dangerous. I had to decrease my water intake because my sodium dropped too low and my doctor said I was getting to the point where people have seizures.
Yesssss the recommended intake of water is not just pure plain water... It takes into account everything that contains water.. soups, fruits and vegetables, sauces, other beverages... But hey, if it's summertime and you're sweating a lot, your body will appreciate some extra water
Let's also remember it's summer and there are dangerous heat waves coming through, and her products are generally marketed towards active individuals. So yes, you need higher water intake. Humans don't need x amount of fluids per day. It is completely individualistic, depending upon activity levels, height, weight, local climate, health conditions, among other things.
@fefemyluv you didn't really need to decrease water intake. You just needed to increase electrolytes. Add in a few pretzels and a potassium supplement.
Influencers were the worst thing to happen to society. People will literally do whatever they say. I drink 110 oz a day, but that's because I work out everyday. That's a lot of water and it's only 8/10 of a gallon. If I wasn't working out, that would be too much water. 64 oz is good enough for the average person to keep their kidneys tip top. All these stupid health gurus trying to sell shit are dangerous. A gallon of water a day, even for athletes, is too much. And there is no health benefits to it, it doesn't make your skin better, it doesn't make you healthier, you're just losing nutrients.

@rogerheisler2554 it's a myth that you are already dehydrated when thirsty. That's like saying you are literally starving if you are hungry. Our thirst drive is there to prevent dehydration. That being said, it does seem like some people don't get thirsty a normal amount and may need to have a water goal.
Be careful not to over hydrate as youll lose salts, sugars and minerals through too much peeing. If youre just sitting at a deask, or not miving a lot as in strenuous exercise or laborious work, a gallon a day is fine for men, and about 0.71 gallons for women. Remember to replensih with electrolytes if you over hydrate (just a little extra salt n sugar). 😊
@@madisonwilliamson Not necessarily. If you feel OK - you probably are OK. We are born with the ability to know when we are thirsty. If you are healthy then the general advice is to drink when you want to.
@madisonwilliamson I would second drink water as you feel thirsty. The gallon for men and the less than a gallon for women are just guidelines. Everybody will have different needs, as well as depending on whether its summer or winter, dry or humid climate, exercising or not etc. However drinking excessive water does not equate to more hydrated or more "glowy" skin. There is such a thing as over hydrating and just like anything else out of balance, it's not good for us.

Try sipping the water throughout the day and adding an electrolyte blend to it-if you tend to be thirsty, electrolytes can help balance your water-salt ratio.

Just know this amount of water is not recommended. More ≠ better. Too much water over time can land you in the hospital. If you drink so much that your pee is clear you are flushing out important electrolytes and minerals. That is very harmful to the body. Excess water intake can also lead to extreme thirst. Just do your research to make sure you do what's best for your body.
Damage caused by dehydration is more uncommon than damage done by overhydration. 2 litres is plenty ❤ Glowy skin, diet helps but a lot of it comes down to your metabolism/hormones & skin-care.

Guys, doctors say that 1 Litre water per 20 Kg body weight is required by us approximately. (Example- you weigh 40 Kg, drink 2 Litres; on 60 Kg weight, drink 3 Litres; on 70 Kg weight, drink 3.5 litres; on 80 Kg, 4 Litres…and so on…) So one gallon may be less or more than your actual requirement. Fruit infusers do nothing for the taste if u struggle to drink water add a zero calorie artificial fruit sweetener. Ontop of the fact that it’s just a plastic jug with words printed on it, like it can’t even keep my water cold ur better off w a regular bottle of water 😂
No it isn't if you drink it separately besides she said " i try"
Yes! Too much water can cause brain swelling...or at the least, major headaches.
Ik and the fact she's acting like the motivation thing and the big bottle is her own idea is js so rude and it's so big too
Wow everything in this video is beautiful!!! The message, the container, the dog & etc!!!
SO SMART! Thank you for showing us the features because I never would have thought to use the bottom as a bowl or the top band as headband. You are brilliant! 👏👏👏
bold of you to assume I start my day at 7AM
😂
...... I'm not gonna lie..
I'm only here cuz of the thumbnail and I'm not ashamed......
That's the time I go to sleep 💤
Do you just copy paste and pretend it’s your own? At least change the wording.
@@craigknight4836
..no 😘
most people do not need to drink even half a gallon of water, we need to INGEST aroun 2L every day (for a 180cm person of medium build), which takes into acocunt water coming from food + non water drinks
Yes this is crazy, Americans are crazily exaggerated in everything
That dog is so fluffy and cute
Is no one gonna talk about HOW CUTE HER DOG IS?!
wow okay the bowl-bottom is so smart !!
She always surprises me how much of good idea she can come up with
Who takes a gallon of water on a hike?
@@viviane9486🤦♀️
You don't have to drink a gallon of water a day ...honestly don't do this it can be dangerous...
Yes, minerals will be lost...
Rules aren’t the same for everyone.
Hyponatremia
Too much water be careful of sodium level. It flushed out sodium when it gets to low like under 135…. You can feel fatigue, lost consciousness, confused and many other symptoms including coma. I’m a nurse don’t overdo it..!!
Great Job 😊👍 . I love water. And the idea for the pet bowl.😊
You’re dog is sooooo cuteeeee
That is honestly so smart
No but like Fr and emergency head band AND dog bowl?
honey, i love you but ain’t nobody bringing that 20kg water bottle on a hike
Do you even hike? Because I know people that bring this amount of water, and more. Also, no need to be so condescending 😉 just a thought.
Yea
Well but they should? Hiking is a lot of effort and I'd take it. I've seen people feeling lightheated on hikes
I'd bring that bottle to a hike😊😊bcuz hiking is a lot of effort
@@classycactus9737 how is this condescending? also to all of y’all saying you need this much water, you do not, but you do need water so rather than bringing a 20kg water bottle bring two 1kg water bottles for almost the same amount 🤷♀️🙌
Hey does anyone remember when we drank when we were thirsty and ate when we were hungry?
Now if you’re not lugging around an industrial tank you can’t possibly be “dewy”…. 🤦🏻♀️
Right! and having to pee every hour on the hour. I’m not knocking her hustle I mean she added a dog bowl to the water bottle; now our lives are officially complete!🥹🙌🏾.
@@sylvia7447plus all of that urine depletes you of vital nutrients
I remember. Every zen teacher, worth his weight, said the same.
Remember the “mysterious” constipation that came with it?💀 she’s just encouraging people to drink more water, there’s no harm in that. If you want to stay dehydrated just say that.
Because it has many benefits
Sir George making cute little slurpy noises 😍😍😍
Not only is the bottle really cute, but so is the dog! 🥰
Finally a comment about her cute dog!! ❤
Don't listen to anyone . Just drink if you thristy. Too much** water can damage you
Then I would never drink! I hardly ever get thirsty. If you're thirsty, you are already dehydrated!
Facts drink only when thirsty
@@rogerheisler2554 A whole gallon is too much unless you're huge (and not necessarily as in overweight, just someone very tall for example). You need to drink water based on your weight, about an ounce for every 2lbs. I need a little bit less than half a gallon.
@rogerheisler2554 it's a myth that you are already dehydrated when thirsty. That's like saying you are literally starving if you are hungry. Our thirst drive is there to prevent dehydration. That being said, it does seem like some people don't get thirsty a normal amount and may need to have a water goal.
If you’re thirsty you’re already dehydrated.
i love your products so much girl!!!
I always love your creations.. it shows so much passion in them 🎉❤
Be careful not to over hydrate as youll lose salts, sugars and minerals through too much peeing. If youre just sitting at a deask, or not miving a lot as in strenuous exercise or laborious work, a gallon a day is fine for men, and about 0.71 gallons for women.
Remember to replensih with electrolytes if you over hydrate (just a little extra salt n sugar).
😊
Dang 😳 I figured a gallon was only okay if u were working out… I’m definitely behind on my water intake
@@mydeershikaxoxogaOver hydration can lead to excess thirst, which will cause problems over time. A friend of mine landed in the hospital because of this.
@@SiriMor1980 Yeah, I know.
absolutely love the design, but would you be able to make a smaller version? i’d love to be able to pack a 30/40 oz water bottle with this design for school, a gallon is just a bit much for me and some people.
She has other water bottles too, including this gorgeous purple orange design that looks so cute
i love this!!!! great thinking Cassey!
thinking water tastes "boring" is honestly a level of privilege that i never thought i would witness
I have a 2 liter bottle for the complete opposite reason. I drink too much water and the doctor told me that the water flushes out the good minerals so I have to drink less water. I keep the bottle with me to make sure I don't drink more than 4 liters a day😂😂
yeah a gallon seems like way too much for the average person, maybe for someone who’s really active in a warm climate this is good- but most people shouldn’t try to do this
Try sipping the water throughout the day and adding an electrolyte blend to it-if you tend to be thirsty, electrolytes can help balance your water-salt ratio.
Yep. I almost k!lled myself with hyponatremia by drinking too much plain water in one day. Once I started adding electrolytes to my water, I suddenly stopped being plagued by chronic thirst and dehydration. Some people just can't do tons of plain water. Nuun tablets are my go-to now and start the day with one of those in a can of seltzer water. I feel considerably better with that little regimen!;
U had me at dog bowl.. emergency head band blew my mind😂😂😂 I don’t need more water bottles what are you doing to me😂😂😂😂
Her marketing is efficient but she makes wayyyyy to many products constantly to stay relevant and to keep attracting new and regular customers… and she makes every new products appear like they’re so great and improved which is her job but it’s just marketing no one needs all this shiz a water bottle or a bag are straightforward products they don’t need to be improved every week .
@@parbhk2889 I’m guessing you take salt with your water..😂
I saw this video and loved the product so much that I ended up ordering it right away 😂 I live in Greece and am really looking forward to receiving it ❤
So many iconic dance breaks 😭💖
I would love something like this in half the size and not plastic (maybe metal with a glass window to see progress?). I think it’s so cute and useful!
Posted same about size
Maybe you could do this Bottle tinier so that one bottle is for half day because this is to big for school or something
She has other blttles
You only supposed to drink half of this a day. A gallon of water a day is too much for one person
Ooooo love this!!! I drink tons of water, and I actually love the taste of fresh clean water. The infuser adds a whole new level though.
As a driver this would be a nightmare scenario for me lol😂
I LOVE THE FRUIT INFUSERRRRRR I LOVE LEMON WATERRRRR😂
ahh YA hope you grab 🍋
This is really smart. My question though is how does it do with mold? Is it easy to clean
Just remember, be careful of putting too many lemons in your water because the acid in the lemons can actually cause you to dehydrate if you put in too many!! Love the water bottle!!
An emergency headband 😂😭 sis went all out lol
The time table at the bottle is giving
I love this woman and her level of creativity! ❤

You had me at the dog bowl. Just ordered. Can't wait!
will immediately be purchasing! no matter how hard i try to drink more water it never works out, but i’m hoping that the fruit infuser design will help me stay motivated! thank you! ❤❤
It really helps when you love your water bottle!
might wanna look at the reviews before you buy!! I did!!
The reviews are really bad on it
And you can get a lot cheaper products with the fruit infuser.
I just ordered this bottle a week ago!! Can’t wait to get it💖💖💖
Nice makeup and loved the highlighter poppin’
This is actually an amazing water bottle!
Damage caused by dehydration is more uncommon than damage done by overhydration. 2 litres is plenty ❤ Glowy skin, diet helps but a lot of it comes down to your metabolism/hormones & skin-care.
yeah unfortunately I hate hate haaaaate drinking out of plastic bottles. Or even bottles with part plastic in them (ex the infuser middle part). It really changes the taste for me, I'm so sensitive to it. I know it sounds bananas but its true! Not complaining so much as hoping you can come out with a lightweight version with no plastic in it one day. Until then I will keep dreaming and use glass!
Twice dance breaks are the most satisfying and cleanest 💗
The dog bowl is a cute idea! So you and your doggy can stay hydrated
Can you guys do horseback riding pants? Mine have a front seam and the camel toe is cameling 😭

She has makeup on 😭
Menards, a semi local hardware, gardening store here, carries a water bottle with the added bowl already attached. 50 Oz. Sells for $5.99. My sister and I both bought this. Haven't lost tons of weight yet, but still a good thing.
but does it have a head band😏
Omg just bought it! It looooooks soooo cute!
I love you! I remember when you first started on TH-cam and I was so excited for you. You’ve come so far and I can’t wait to model for you!
Omg I need this❤
Hiii I absolutely love all of your designs, I was wondering if you have (or can make) any shorts or dresses that are at least knee level? I've gotten dresscoded at least 5 times for wearing shorts or dresses even a little above my knees, so is there anything yall could make? And for the dresses like no shoulder straps because of the 'too revealing' thing?
(said this in another vid too but idc lmao-)
I love it! Great idea!
I drink lemon water everyday. “Extra head band” 😂lol
I rlly want it I just don’t want to have to lug it around school 😭

nahhhh its on *SALE* so she must be doing us a big favor!! like, half the price? wohooo
You can walk into any primark and get it for 5 euro. The dog bowl might be new but if you're already lugging this thing around, may as well find room and added a portable one to inventory. I was so confused to see so little people talking about how much she tried to sell this for.
I love this! Will say though to make sure you're also getting those electrolytes too
You are amazing on designing items.😊❤
Turning that into a doggie bowl gave me JoAnn the Scammer vibes😂 just making up anything for a sale lol 💗
I get u but the silicone bottom is awesome to not make annoying sound everytime u put ur water on a hard surface
Other factors influence the body’s requirements too like weather, perspiration etc. Find your own requirements and work through it accordingly. ❤❤
Girl you know that glow is coming from all that makeup you have on.
$20 is perfect, any more is too much. Love it.
