NO???? Jungkook was the only sub-rapper of the group lol apart from the 3 members in the rapline. The other 3 were vocalists.

The One special thing is that BTS is really different from other kpop groups.. you will never get that much different genres and versatility..
I think that's the reason I couldn't got into other kpop groups.. They just stand out different from others.
They talk about that every person can relate to it..

They definitely can dance in suit when you reach to their song mic drop you have to react to MAMA 2017 mic drop to watch them dance a heavy choreography in a suit.

Or Butter at the Grammys, with it's whole heist/breaking in theme as they stage a takeover of the Grammys, MIssion Impossible style, because F* the Grammys. lol

ah, the "no hard dances in suits" rule doesn't really apply to BTS, it's more the fact that they had a longer slot here, so they performed a few different songs, some with choreo, some without, just to change things up a bit. They definitely have full-out-hard-choreo performances in suits, too.
You'll come across them sooner or later in your journey 😁

Thinking of Dionysus and Not today at Mama. I'm surprised they didn't leave the stage immediately for oxygen and water.

How about Butter at the Grammys?
There are honestly too many examples to name of them killing hard choreo in suits.
      Mic Drop at MAMAs?

Jimin stays pretty lean as that's more conducive for dance. That being said, he is pure muscle. His core strength and control is ridiculous. The little bit we've seen of him working out has been pretty focused on his core. I assume he also does yoga and/or pilates, not to mention the workout he gets from dance. All that being said, I fully expect him to be pretty muscular in a different way when he gets out of the military. I think his may be the most noticeable change since he's starting as small and lean as he is.
They don't completely remember the choreography for old songs, but I think it comes back fairly quickly. They learn fast regardless, but there is still some muscle memory for the older stuff. V is fantastic at storing and remembering past choreo. The difference in them from 2013 to the later performances is that they ARE confident rather than putting on the confident facade from their early days as well as being so much more comfortable on stage.

Energy and meaning: yes. BTS are always meaningful and deep - but this is pretty rare in kpop even now. At that time I don't tink many bands were in any way challenging. Even though the 'origins' of Kpop were with Seo Taeji and Boys, who had an incredibly strong message of social consciousness, as the music became more established and managed by big companies, very few bands carried that legacy at all. BTS started off with very strong messages that challenged the status quo in controversial ways. They often tried to minimise the nature of the message that lived in the actual songs, perhaps because they had to, perhaps because they are nice people who do not set out to offend.
I'm 68 so I grew up with protest songs in the 60s and 70s - and I find that many of the things that BTS want to say remind me of our concerns back then. I liked early rap music - which absolutely was poetry - and that is in part what I recognise in BTS' whole demeanor as people. Loving protest, a gentle revolutionary message.
This song is hard - it is catchy, but it is hard, and it challenges young people to challenge their parents and other authorities. That is incredibly brave in Asia.
I think that we can never fully understand the Korean people. After decades of oppression under Japanese occupation, only 50 years ago they had a debilitating civil war, with siblings each other, It led to widespread hunger. The country pulled itself together by the hard work of ordinary people - still often oppressed by military rulers. Then there was a financial collapse and people were hungry again. There is a reason that Koreans often greet each other by asking "Have you eaten today?" In recent years job insecurity and painfully low wages and long working hours are endemic. I think many parents are driven by a real fear for the future of their children in Korean society as it developing. Many demands they make seem to me to be brutal, but I also feel that they are driven by love. My parents fought in WW2 : their experiences live in my bones too. Young people ni Korea perhaps also share memories of the social pain that punished their parents. I believe it often takes a form of anger, because they feel that parents are imposing it on them now - understandable. BTS are challenging them to take that anger and channel it into a success of their own devising. People should indeed find this quite frightening.
In their debut they were ALL sweating and incredibly nervous - of course they were! They knew their company was struggling financially and depended almost entirely on them to make money. They were all still in their teens (bar Jin who was all of 20). Most Idol groups don;t even last 100 days before they are dropped by their companies if they don't make enough money. The stress must have been intense.

Apparently V has the best memory for past choreography. There are times during the few variety shows that the have participated in, where they are asked / challenged to do old dance routines & it's usually V they turn to for reminders.

So Jimin, V, RM and Jungkook did the live today and it was about going to military. Not sure why but I am still sad even though we all knew this was going to happen. I mean we had Jin and J-hope and then Suga leaving to military already. So this is it guys. Really.. I am so waiting for 2025. This is like really the great chance for me to watch everything again. They are all in military now. Won't be doing the solo stuff now. I already miss them all. Thank you for doing the no more dream reaction. I can't wait until you watch all the MVs and then watch the yet to come MV. you'll recognize many things

❣️I just had to laugh when you mentioned “if only Jimin worked out” 🙄😆🤣 Out if all of the members Jimin was known for his amazing, beyond belief, muscular body which Jimin had even before joining BTS, which you could see when he was performing shirtless during a performance at around age 15-16! Jimin not only had already the most phenomenal abs muscles, back muscles, but his thigh muscles beyond belief! Possibly do a search to see photos! RM was known for continually commenting even during rookie yrs how though Jimin might have a baby face he has a “man’s” body all muscle! This came for yrs of martial arts training since a little boy: Taekwondo (blackbelt), hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of kendo), also even was only one to receive scholarship to go train in Chinese martial arts for a bit. Also attended in Busan Just Dance Academy specializing in all styles hip hop, where Jimin studied & performed, winning every competition in street dancing, excelling in isolation & popping. Jimin then studied & performed contemporary, modern, some ballet, even Korean traditional dance Media after seeing Jimin perform called him “rising star of Busan”. Jimin even in midschool joined soccer team, excelled in basketball, & track& field as well. In other words Jimin was quite active & athletic way before he even signed with BigHit and joined b BTS at age 17 beginning in January of 2013, only 6 months before BTS debuted! JK always admired, looked up to Jimin and wanted to be like him. Only later did jk start developing muscles and working out. But Jimin’s work out is more these days for dancer that keeps one more flexible using different muscles better for endurance & stamina! Also having abs, the xterm core strength j8min has is crucial, most beneficial for singing as well! Since best technique comes from using diaphragm as well as core strength that Jimin has helps with ability to dance as strenuously as he does while singing! One needs to work out in a way to keep flexibility, to be able to bend before one’s breaks. Being that Jimin’s danced all his life as well as taking in his many yrs of martial arts training, Jimin knows quite well how to use his body and build it up to its best advantage! The only other bets member who came from a background of dance is J-Hope, but J-Hope trained only just in street dancing. Both are the Main dancers. To JK’s credit only learning dance after joining BTS he learned enough to become Lead dancer, though “Kpop dancing” is quite different from real hip hop as well as other dance. Sorry, I didn’t mean to go off writing so much, but just your comment took me off guard! 🤩🤨😬😅🥰🙏😆

ITS AWESOME that you checked out newer performances of No more dream. I hope you do that more with all their music!!!!
Their performances of older songs as adults are just captivating and full of swag.
BTS were bold af to debut with this song, that too in 2013 when the trends were leaning in a different way in korea.

No more dream and we are bulletproof pt2 are from their first album, "2 cool 4 skool", the album’s songs are:
    Intro: 2 cool 4 skool
    We are bulletproof pt2
Skit: circle room talk (it’s not really a song, Just a skit where they talk together)
    No more dream
    Interlude
    Like (my personal favorite)
Outro: circle room cypher (where the members freestyle for fun)
Also it has a hidden song called "path”
I hope you’ll react to the full album :)

In Korea 98% of their fans are girls lol and KARMYs are so sweet they prepare fan chants for every performance. The tragic thing about Jimin’s ripped body is that it led to body dysmorphia issues for JIMIN because as you commented- he had to obviously work very hard at maintaining his physique while also giving his everything and more to performing - Jimin battled anorexia (I don’t think it was officially called that) but ARMY was so worried over a few years as Jimin would drop weight that was so significant fans began to worry. He addresses this in the song Lie and even Promise when he was healing and becoming healthier 😢💜

It's not the k-armys who prepare the fan chant. The lyrics are released with fan chant in the weverse. Jimin's body issues came mainly because people were calling him names. Nowhere it's mentioned that he had anorexia, so stop with the assumptions please

Pls stop with these false fabricated made up so wrong things about Jimin made up by, created by antis, that have been spreading these falsehoods so long that sadly some army still to this day absurdly believe in them! These so called f”facts” “info” about Jimin are the farthest from the truth! Also misleading that will actually hurt ppl who really do have this illness: are you an anti perhaps. Posing as a supporter, pls be more knowledgeable, and learn accurate facts before spreading such nonsense! 😖😩😔

We don't know if Jimin suffered from Anorexia, y'all really need to let go of the habit of labeling things and assuming. There were interviews where like Jin said he barely ate back then, or how Hobi had to lose weight or how Jungkook didn't eat a lot during DNA era and Butter era does that mean they had anorexia? It's not good to self-diagnos people, Unless the boys outright tells us they suffered from something, stop assuming, it can be really hurtful, every single member has gone through the phase where they lost a SIGNIFICANT amount of weight (the most notable ones being Jungkook and Jimin) I always see ARMYS go into the members Weverse Lives commenting things like "You look too small", blah blah blah, I don't think y'all realize how HURTFUL that is to hear and how it could literally mess with someones head. Y'all have GOT to stop with the habit of y'all thinking you know what is happening to the members 24/7. Y'all are not their doctors and your not their parents/members. STOP making hurtful and senstive assumptions.

urge you to react to: ❤‍🔥🔥JIMIN LEGENDARY FANCAMS COMPILATION by JEM JIMIN. This shows way more of a variety of different styles of dance, from all of Jimin's most truly now legendary, ever so mesmerizingly amazing performances, including his Taekwondo flip before ripping off his shirt (especially if you’re interested in Jimin’s amazing musculature built) in the 2014 MAMA awards, also his ever so HOTT solo performance of Drake's Own it at the 2015 BTS Begin concert, as well as so much more. There's a reason JIMIN was given the official title of Main Dancer & Lead Vocalist since BTS debuted, as well as being awarded the prestigious titles 4 yrs in a row, for both King of Kpop & Best Dancer in Kpop also for 5 yrs in a row.

I pursued going back to college and get my degree after stopping for 3 years (because I had to) and now I am a Licensed Professional Teacher. So going back to your earlier comments that Kpop songs had to be catchy and not necessarily have meaningful lyrics? Nice that you are addressing the lyrics and listening to your commentors that BTS songs are full of meaning. What is impressive to me, in your early stage of reacting to BTS, is your realization that perceptions can be wrong. You address each point with a real maturity beyond your years. I, for one, really love watching you grow to admire BTS! "You nice, keep going"....

To be Honest among all the bts reaction vides that I've watched your the first one who's so excited to follow them from the beginning without missing anything, the joy and excitement you're feeling and your honest reactions that too you were a hater are making appreciate you and more thank you so much for all of your efforts I hope everyone changes their minds the way you did 💜 +yes the rap line were having problems reaching their dreams BECAUSE they didn't have a supportive family RM's family especially his mom wanted him to be some kind of business man because he's so intelligent and good at every subject so she told why wasting your studies in the music while your so intelligent nevertheless she bought him a DVD of the TV show friends that's how he learnt English and he's so Fluent at it but he proved her that he can be successful with his dreams too + Suga had a typical traditional father he didn't like him so much he preferred his older brother than him because he was good in his studies he didn't support Suga so he had to work part time jobs after his school so he can provide some money to work on hi music he worked as a delivery guy but unfortunately he did an accident a car hit him and his arm was injured badly but he didn't tell his parents neither did an operation that time cuz couldn't pay the bill nor his family had enough money so he convinced them to join BIGHIT entertainment because they told that they're gonna take all the responsibility of his studies budget not just him all the the members of the group so they agreed but later on he had to do the surgery and he did it (you'll notice later his disappearance in some of their schedules+ he talked about all his life and his solo song amygdala from his album d-day you gotta react to it) and because of his surgery he can't afford to do the exercises of military service so he'll work in an office so he'll take a long time to finish it instead of working 18 months he's gonna work 32 months so he'll be the last one to come out + and the last one is jhope his father was a literature teacher so he was strict a bit and he didn't support him in dancing this why he was doing street dancing but his mother and sister supposed him secretary and yes all of their songs are meaningful and catchy 🥰💜💜💜💜💜💜

A correction if you don't mind...
at every concert about 25% of the fans are boys/men who feel completely comfortable being there. ..boyfriends, husbands, brothers, sons, grandfathers, uncles, fathers...depending which country they are in.
There's a fun fancam of the concert in Las Vegas when V asked the ladies, and then the gentlemen, to "make some noise."
The male fans went crazy and BTS were so surprised. At this particular concert there were about 35% (?) boys/men. BTS knew there were male Army, but not that many! 😅😅
Army is made up of people of all races, sexes, orientations...from
11 yrs to 80 yrs. At every concert there are people of all ages I'm happy to say, BTS has a unique way of making everyone feel included and loved. 🙂💜

You've remarked a couple of times about Jimin's fitness in the early years, saying if he really stepped it up he could "blow it up." You saying it again today prompted me to share that Jimin has said that in the early years he felt this pressure to be "manly" and buff...but that he was absolutely miserable. He once ate one meal in ten days, if I remember correctly, in an attempt to meet what he felt was the expectation of him as an idol, especially a hip hop focused idol. There is an interview when he talks about that, and he said that he finally realized that people like him as he is and that he doesn't need to meet that "manly" look and can just be himself. His honesty and vulnerability in sharing that with ARMY was a turning point for me in my own thoughts around and about "masculinity" and expectations. I don't think you mean anything negative by your comments, and I can see that you are connecting with him based on your perception of him in the early years, but I felt like it was important to share Jimin's past struggles and his personal evolution and growth since that time.

This is absolutely false misleading inaccurate info created mainly by antis: in fact it’s basically the opposite! Jimin totally originally disliked playing that cutesy role BigHit assigned him! RM even said don’t worry your naturally cute! It’s that role he finally learned to except and even excell at! But as Jimin’s song said “Set Me Free Pt.2. He indeed wants to show his real true authentic self that many who’re now so fixated on this false image prefer to believe is him, to the point we’re so surprised to see this “new” Jimin! 😆 Which indeed has always been his true self! Just like in another song if his “Filter” where he sassy ti army I can be anything you want me to be! Which we all know, so many army such as apparently yourself included prefer or want to believe that the “cute” helpless, needs protection Jimin is real! Jimin even mentioned in Festa 2019 that he wondered how much if his real self to show army. It’s really a bit disheartening to see that many army still buy into this so inaccurate scenario! 😩🥺💔😔

@@abbiem7773 Did I even ONCE say he preferred to be “cutesy?” No. So don’t put words in my mouth. In fact, I never even said what he DID want, other than to be himself. What he flat said in the interview I saw was that he didn’t eat but one meal for 10 days (or some number close to that) because he felt he had to meet an image by working out really hard and barely eating. He even said he took it too far. So, I am sorry, but you are wrong if you believe that the words that came directly from his own mouth weren’t true. You need to be careful about attacking others and misrepresenting completely what they say because YOU make assumptions.

While I think their ease on stage in more recent performances is mostly because of them having time to mature as seasoned performers, I think one added factor is that the harsh pressure to impress is lifted as well. They were from such a small company that they didn't have the guarantee that they'd get many or enough chances to appear on music shows that they can really make an impression on the public to support them and help them succeed enough to have another come back. The company almost sent them all home before they could debut because they didn't have the finances to let them continue training and debut as it costs a lot per member to train and debut and maintain a group.
If they didn't get a last minute investor swooping in and giving them a final shot they'd have been screwed. Also another group was supposed to perform but had to cancel so they got to fill in. There was so much chance at play that the pressure to do well had to be immense. They had to go and perform not being sure how many second chances they'd get if they messed up or didn't impress the audience but also knowing that if they failed, the company was at stake because BTS was the final investment to help them grow and stay afloat. That's a lot of pressure that groups from major labels didn't have added to the baseline stress of debuting. Now we get to see them able to relax knowing that their reputation is established and they have a fanbase that trusts them to do well and believes in them. They don't have to convince people to like them for the first time.

Hi Rex. In my opinión BTS are enormeous artists from the beginig. Their potential was amaizing, the choreos, the perfection. And I want to tell you something, when they were trainnies they used militar tear gas masks for training the breathing while singing and how ends every song, in every presentation. For me this training they made is something amazing!
I appreciate more all their effort from the begining!
    Thank you for appreciate them!
    Greetings from Tijuana Mexico. ❤

Rex you need to react to some BTS x ARMY moments and interactions. It's always soo wholesome! I highly recommend you watch the "Dingo story episode with V" where Taehyung spends an entire day out with a very lucky ARMY! It was sooo precious and the entire fandom was in tears towards the end. Please do add that to your list of must-watch content! Apart from that if you search for some bts x army interaction/cute moments videos you'll find many on youtube

There was a very funny pic Jimin and Suga had when they were young, they were it seemed to be in a bathroom, and Suga was scrubbing clothes on Jimin's washboard abs. Oh, if only I could post that pic here in the comments. It was pretty much hilarious and belonged to the Bangtan lorebook of the chaotic things they did 🤣

In terms of styling, there are some things to remember.
One is that their company was broke and cobbling together styling for them on a shoestring budget. Another is that they were kids, so they were doing some cringey and experimental things with style, like kids do. Another thing is that they were being attacked by all their former friends and peers, especially RM And Suga, as "girly" and sellouts and not hip hop anymore because they started an idol group, and they definitely felt the sting of it and had something to prove with this hypermasculine presentation. Also, hip hop was not big in KPop at the time and they were not about trying to follow or chase trends. They were just trying to be themselves, while still figuring out who exactly they were. KPop in fact rejected them as misfits for the industry in many ways, not least because they were doing hard hitting hip hop with challenging and revolutionary messages and speaking truth to power, as no one else in the industry was doing. They were not clout or trend chasing - they were actually breaking the mold. This kind of hip hop was considered outdated, belonging back in Seo Taiji's days. Many in S Korea at the time found them shocking, and authority figures condemnend them as a "bad influence." Many trends in KPop today are direct copies or outgrowths of BTS.
