    this looks very useful, i can't wait to try out your suggestions; i'm currently retraining myself from wrist playing to finger playing, and i have a few obstacles to overcome in the process. one tiny thing, though: fingers don't have muscles, they're all tendons :)

      I am in the same boat you were 3 years ago..! Guess you must've mastered the technique by now

    • @metalcryptor
      @metalcryptor 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why retrain though? My wrists are hurting not sure if that's why you also needed this

      Uh dude fingers do have muscles... you need muscles in order to move the tendons... maybe check up on your biology knowledge...?

    Hey Julien! I had a question. When doing the finger exercise that gives you a burning feeling in your hand, should I use all four fingers when moving the stick away from me?

    • @julienmanno
      @julienmanno  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! not really, when moving the stick away from you , it's usually more a ring and pinky combination( leave the 2 others fairly loose ,dont block or tense)) , first and midlle fingers are more applied when moving the stick close to you

    Great video. I think I need to go French. I've not drummed for a while, my left hand is dead. I might start with 10 minutes a day.

      @@julienmanno I don't know why but I can rebound fast with each hand individually at over 220 bpm but together I can only go for 8 rebounds with each hand together before my evenness between strokes falls apart even

    good job. I just tried it with aluminium core sticks. Soon I get wooden in the mail though, see or wood is better for this. But it didn't go that bad for a first. It is way nicer on the hands, I learn it to get faster swing feel with hihat.
