The music and slow backtrack of the sequence was probably one of the most top tier moments in this franchise outside the first movies laser corridor sequence.
when i was 9 maybe 10 Year old me and my elder brother watched this movie together and we became fan of Resident Evil series..... now after 10 years Passed . my brother became so bussy for earning money that we spend very less time together . this sound track and intro gave me chills and refreshing my memories .. its so good and a peace of art comparing what we get in the name of entertainment today ..
The CG films (generally) don't really work as movies. They're basically just fan service for the games. Damnation is one of the better ones, but even it kinda assumes you are already invested in the characters.

I don't like this movie. Absolutely hated it when I was first watching it. But I gotta say, this intro is really good. Especially because of the awesome music and how intense it feels. Having it playing backwards is a nice touch because the actual sequence is not nearly as impactful without the slow-mo and the music.

It's called suspense of believability. Even if something is totally fictional too much fairy dust loses the attachment to realism. It's also called, draw from reality not from imagination. This applies to things that behave a certain way in reality. If the fiction destroys the reality of something realistic it pulls the audience out of the experience and they find the experience alien to the nature of nature itself. This is a fun movie but the unbelievable is mentioned with regards to realism and not because the director or Hollywood wanted it so. I was talking about the experience of a viewer's assessment and not a person just going to the movies to have fun. You got it.
