I don't think there was a way to get his IP address; he used Citrix which passes through Citrix's servers, so I see Citrix's IP address in Wireshark if I tried.
First thing you should do next time is to reset 2 things in his account, the email address and the password! After that you can collect ip address access and even do refund to scammed guys if are still money in the account. Anyway, nice work!
