Ty sir. This was very helpful. I bought the bulb thinking I could just pull it from the inside, but noooooo. The Germans are crazy! 😬 Good job in the video. 👍🏼
Thank for this! Bought the tail light for $200+ and replaced it. Dealership told me it was going to be $800-1000 because they would have to reprogram the computer. Complete BS and for what? It's no different than changing a bulb in the assembly
can i get a confirmation that this is a T25 and not another torx nor phillips? working on a 2019. other videos for earlier models talk about using a phillips.
Your video would be a lot more helpful if you showed how to screw it back in. Ive spent 3 hours trying to get the screw to tighten and can't figure it out.
Newer models don’t have the screw. You just pry the light out from the left side if you’re removing the passenger rear marker light assembly and the right side of it you’re remove the drivers side marker light assembly.
I tried so hard the t25 went in all the way but kept on spinning. This is so stupid. Any picture of what should the angle and exactly how much it should go in.
No matter what I try I can not see or locate the screw with a long torx 25 screwdriver on my 2019 Q5. Had a mechanic try too and he couldn’t find it either 🤦♂️

My 2015 SQ5 used a standard Phillips screw, not the Torx style.

@@604roger actually yea I ended up finding it , took a good couple mins by year figured it out, you have to go in on an odd angle
@@slow_q5 how long of screwdriver you reccomend? I have a 6” t25 but I can add an extension too
@@604roger I ended up getting a 12 inch, you have to come in on a sharp angle, you can try it I guess
Is it a 2018 q5?

Same thing. Remove cover and 1 torx screw
