Love finding another vinyl thrift shopper! I picked up Joe Jackson's Look Sharp! album AND the three disc set of the Woodstock concert both at $2.22 each! Original pressings! Sweet. A LOT of times I walk away with absolutely no records, but last week I scored!
When you've been retired as long as I have all your shopping is thrift shopping😂.That's great you scored on those albums. I got a couple of Joe Jackson's and Woodstock while thrifting too. Lot's of dry spells in between the the good scores.
That is a fantastic haul. I bought a record that said Woodstock. I thought it was from the original festival. However, it was sings of Woodstock by a band called the Tribe. Lol. Great music you found.
Hi Don, just a note about record misting. The misting of records may well be caused by the Shrink Wrap. The majority of shrink wrap materials are made from PVC which could well be a major cause of the misting. I had a double album that was in shrink, had HDPE inner and outer sleeves and had misting on both albums on the outer groove sides only. I am removing all of the shrink-wrap from all of my albums that have shrink on them and I suggest everyone does the same. I would also avoid the PVC inner and outer sleeves too, just in case.
Christmas On Fun Street looks awesome - great title. "Whatcha gonna do when she says goodbye?" - haven't heard that one for a while, great song. I remember when that Rossington/Collins Band record came out - I heard it a lot back then. That was a lot of solid finds. Rock on Don!
DC5 and Rossinton Collins were both good plus I am partial to Skynnrd!! Noticed your Ten Years After "Undead" on the wall.I have kept that in heavy rotation for the last 50++ years.Look forward to you every week..
Fantastic Finds Don! Especially in that condition. It feels like stealing when you find something that you want that’s GOOD & CLEAN at a Thrift shop! Thanks for the Shoutout! A little Frank will do you good! lol enjoy the chips & salsa!🤙🏻
Nice selections and the salsa looked amazing! I like Nancy Wilson. I found a nice copy of “Nancy-Naturally” down in Louisville, KY. Recently, here in Michigan, I found a fantastic mono pressing of Frank’s “Only the Lonely”. The OG came out in 1958, mine is a 1965. But just fantastic! I really enjoy when Nelson Riddle does the orchestration. I have a question for you: I saw the “Herb Alpert Presents Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66” album by you but you didn’t mention it. Recently, I’ve been thinking about this album, but I never heard it. I know Herb Albert ended up stealing the main girl out of the group and making her his wife. Tell me, how is the album as a whole. Is it good all the way through the album? Just grabbed a lot of tomatoes. The big ones look to be slowing down, but the cherry tomatoes are still kicking ass. Tons of flowers for the cucumbers, but not many growing…
Nelson Riddle always does a great job and you just can't go wrong with Frank. The Brasil 66 is a reel to reel I had listened to recently (sounds amazing) I have 7 or so Sergio Mendes albums but I like that one the best, all of it. I have maybe 20 more larger tomatoes left on my vines but the cherry ones are freaks, I cut out 2 vines of them today cause there where just too many. For the heck of it I planted cucumbers about 3 weeks ago and they are now blooming.
Nice. Finding decent, "fanquissit"🤪condition records at thrift stores in my area is a rarity these days. Don't know if could handle that salsa heat, but sure looks good. Where is that blue skull pic on the wall from? It reminds me of something from Adult Swim on cartoon network.
I like the word "fanquissit"even though it's just something my little brain said. Good condition in Goodwill is rare. The picture is from a carton of Liquid Death bottled water . I used to stay up late watching Adult Swim🍻 , haven't seen those shows for a long time.
You hit the Goodwill jackpot.
Not an easy thing to do now a days.🍻
You are definitely the Christmas King lol! A few of those records are ones I got on the one big score I ever got at Goodwill. Nice finds!
If I ever do a videos on my Christmas music it would take 16 videos at an hour a piece 😂.🍻

Glad to see ya back. Summer almost over and the leaves be falling soon. Take care. I’ve had some luck in GW
I noticed a big change in leaf color last week🍁. You seem to have luck everywhere😆👍🍻
Hi Don, great pickups. Gary Rossington and Allen Collins of the Rossington Collins Band are founder members of Lynyrd Skynyrd. it is a great album.
I agree and might look for "This Is The Way" by them now.🍻

I've been tricked a couple of times.😆

When I pull a album and find the shrink still on them I remove it and use a "invest in vinyl" inner sleeve and outer sleeve.

Thanks for watching Randy. Rossington/Collins was a surprising good LP that I didn't know about.

The wall is stuff I've listened to very recently ( a couple of times before back on the shelf), Undead is a GREAT album. Thanks for watching my stuff🍻
You keep scoring on those great finds!
Not as lucky as I was a few years ago but I do find some quality on occasion.
Great variety of genres. I'm gonna keep an eye out for that last one. ❤ thnx😊
If you like southern rock I think you will like it.🍻
Awesome pick ups!
Just got lucky, than again if ya don't look ya don't find. It's the record stores I have trouble with💰💰💰💸

These kind of great condition finds are few and far between, especially Frank. 🍻

Yes and yes both with a lot of heat🌶🍻

By mistake do you ever buy a Christmas record that you already have?
My memory SUCKS but for some weird reason I usually know a Christmas album when I see it.🤷
I looked through my Christmas records and did find 2 I bought by accident, oops!
