100 Rental Cars I have a 2019 Jeep cherrokee latitude with 15,300 as a rental from enterprise i rented it from the enterprise at Miami international airport I had good experience i booked a Hyundai Elantra or similar when i got to the counter it wasn’t available they only had 6 vehicles available a Hyundai accent a Dodge Challenger a Jeep renegade fiat 500x and a ford ecosport they wanted to give me the accent i said no thank you I need more room for my bags then they wanted to give me the renegade but someone before me rented it so they pushed for me to be in an ecosport I went to the eco sport I couldn’t even fit 1 bag in there and then a Jeep came up and I took the Jeep

Just an FYI...For retractable seat belts like that in the 3rd row, they are designed to use their buckle to activate the tab at the belt base to release it from the seat. No key needed.

After driving Honda and Toyota, I thought I would not like this Mini Van but it has grown on me. I actually have a 2019 touring L like your review. I have to say it is a nice car. Changing gear with the knob getting use to it. Overall not too bad...

I Work at a mall and one of the customers broke down on one of the roads in the mall parking lot with one of these vans. It only had 19,000 miles

Our '05 Chrysler Town & Country minivan is still on the road (310k miles), and we just picked up a used 2018 Pacifica with 36k as we really can't do without the stow n' go seating for transporting our dogs. Hope this Chrysler van is just as dependable as the last one.
I have a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan and sadly Chrysler removed some of my favorite features. I love my full console with 2 covered storage areas. It also has a full pull out drawer (very large) with cup holders under it (this is in the same area where he pulled out the cup holders). I also have 2 glove boxes and they are very handy. Last of all the heater/air conditioning controls for the middle seats are in the middle, not on the left side. This allows both passengers easy access. Also in my third row seat I have storage on both sides next to the cup holders, not silly handles that are useless. Otherwise the Pacifica looks very nice.
I have, essentially, the same van, but with adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and park assist. Love it.
Nice! Yeah, those two are a MUST on any new car. Especially, adaptive cruise. It's soooo nice when you're doing long miles on the interstate. Speaking of, I just tried out Nissan's version. It will actually steer for you too (around gentle curves). The future is here James!

Oh no theae thing are junk. I know because I work on them daily . transmission issues AC failures are the main issues . their beautiful vans but their a breeding ground for problems.
Really? That's frightening to hear. What other vehicles do you work on. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what's good/reliable and what's not. You can't beat real world experience like yours when it comes to car advice, so please share!
Maybe the guy that says they're junk is the very reason why the ones he sees don't run well. He probanly doesn't know how to work on them. I go to a good mechanics and have not had one problem in two and a half years. Must be the reason because he is definitely a minority especially since 2018 after they got most of the bugs worked out

I understand that transmission and electronics affected mostly the first two model years, 2017-18.
Would have been great to elaborate more on the center info screen, the EVIC. It's quite useful with engine hours like your showed but what you failed to show was that it gives you: Transmission temp, engine oil temp, oil pressure, coolant temp, volts as well as tire pressure for each tire! Great system really..
The Pacifica is a great van. Right now I have a 2019 Kia Soul + from Avis.
Nice. I was actually really disappointed that Kia didn't have the Soul EV at the Chicago Autoshow. That was one of the first cars I went looking for. I don't know about you, but I love that little car.
Great review, thanks! I bought the same year and model but it does not have the option on Settings to set up the "foot" to open the trunk/liftgate... Perhaps it is optional even on the L????
Great review! I bought a 2019 Pacifica Touring S Plus. My wife, kids, and I all love it! It's silver with 20" Blacked out rims...looks amazing. I chose the Pacifica over the Toyota Sienna and Honda Oddyssey and am so glad I did! The Stow n Go ability of all rear seats makes it so versatile! It's the sharpest looking minivan on the road (interior and exterior)...IMO. Also, the 360 degree overhead backup view is awesome! The AppleCar play is a nice feature and so is the center roof DVD player that mine came with. And the Pacifica gets great gas mileage (ties 2019 Sienna in city and beats the Sienna by 1 mpg on highway)! The 9 speed gearbox keeps the RPM's real low at highway speeds. Mine has automatic door openers on the key fob and remote engine start (on the key fob) for cold days (love that). It also came with Adaptive Cruise, lane assist, and park assist. The Pacifica is the ultimate cruiser! Go with the Limited if you want a double sunroof (I don't like sunroofs so I stayed away from the Limited). Nor did I want to pay extra for dual dvd/game players behind the front seats (that the Limited comes with). I got mine brand new for under 34k (sticker was over 38k). I totally get why you gave it 5 Stars! We are very happy campers with our Pacifica!
Thanks Jeremiah! Glad to hear your Pacifica is working out. I'm a bit jealous, it's a great minivan. I love my Kia Sedona...but the middle rows seats don't collapse and the center display isn't quite a nice. Oh well. Just HAVING a minivan was a life saver. I can't believe we used a sedan for so long with our kids.

Great review. I have this van was hoping it would answer a question I have. At the 11:20 mark, you discussed the gear shift knob. When in Drive, you can push down on that knob, but from what I can tell, nothing happens. You can’t push it in any other gear. Do you know if that’s supposed to activate a function I don’t know about? Maybe it’s a feature my van isn’t equipped with. Anyway, just hoping you, or another viewer can enlighten me.

this car comes equipped with electronic noise cancellation. pretty quiet inside 'cept over coarse pavement.
I feel like I should point out that this minivan makes me giddy and happy. I have a weird niche where I just love minivans. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I’m 20 dude, but I would drive the pacifica.
Dude, there's nothing wrong with you! I freakin' love my minivan. And I'm kinda a nut for hatchbacks too. For me it's all about practicality. I love when my vehicles are useful and can do more than just take me from point A to point B. 👍

Looks like a great minivan. But I wonder why they called it the Pacifica. The original Pacifica was a SUV that failed big time.
I just searched wikipedia for "Chrysler Pacifica" and OMG! It was a luxury minivan concept in 1999, then a mid-sized crossover from 2004 to 2008 and since 2017 it's been a minivan (again). You're right, that is strange.

Yeah I remember the SUV version of it from years ago. It actually kinda threw me when I first heard that the new Chrysler minivan was the "Pacifica." Not sure why they changed it though. Guess Town and Country was just too much work to say, lol.

Don't like the hidden buttons in back for music track/volume.....but otherwise like the Pacifica.....great video
Use them for awhile and you'll grow to love them. Trust me.
Your review is very good. As to the car: I was considering the Pacifia but that gear shift knob killed it. What happens when gear knob is turn while driving? Sometimes, lower gears are good for certain road condition and there seem to be none with this car. I personally DO NOT like all the electronics--push buttons make way for all sorts of problems due to wear a tear. All these "driving for dummies" features kill the entire driving experience. Are you driving the car or is the car driving you--if the latter take a train, bus, or cab. The whole driving experience is about connecting with the environment, privacy and freedom, and independence, all numbed with all the driving dummy features. Great review.

a very comfortable van that's not very fuel-consuming. We rented this car and drove to great canyon.

is there a AWD minivan besides the sienna?
Get the Hybrid to avoid that POS ZF 9HP Transmission. Plus the first 28-33 miles is essentially free.
I love the 9 speed gear box in my 2019 Pacifica. Keeps RPM's real low on the highway and it's smooth. Besides that...the Hybrid loses Stow n Go in the center row. No way I'm losing that great versatility! And no way I want to drag out that huge electric charge cord every day! I'm happy with my gas version Pacifica.
Is there anyone who does a better indepth review? Love the Sto and Go. Best Best Feature.
Hey does the ezpass transponder work if you have it placed like you did on the driver side dashboard? Asking this because I'm going to be using this as a rental and obviously I don't have extra 3M tapes to stick it on the top of the windshield where it usually goes.

I have a white Touring L with the S Package blacked out interior and exterior. It also has the upgraded 22" wheels, mud flaps and U-Connect Theater. We've had it for 1 year and the wife and kids love it. Our spec really looks like a totally different car than a standard Pacifica and we get lots of comments with people being surprised it's a minivan. The gas mileage is really great on long trips (28mpg) but atrocious in the city (15-16 mpg). 19 mpg is nearly impossible to achieve.

You'd think Chrysler would offer a AWD version and perhaps it would sell better, considering Chrysler does or has offered it in sedans like the 300. But I'm sure a good vehicle for vacation rentals. Keep up the great reviews 🖒

The 2020 will have AWD
I drive on normal roads and have no need for AWD on my Pacifica minivan (rarely ever see snow where I live). It would just use up more gas...with almost zero benefit. But that's me. I see LOTS of Chrysler Pacificas on the roads where I live (South Texas)...and none of them are AWD. So Chrysler must have done something right with this van!
What is better in your opinion this pacifica or 2019 dodge caravan?? Everyone says same car just pacifica little more trimmings inside. ??? Any help???
My mom got a red Pacifica 3 row 2017 it’s used, but only for 3 years. We got it used as I said. It was only for 19,000$!

Thanks! And you're right, the Pacifica is a gentler version of the Grand Caravan. For me, it depends on my mood. Today, I kinda like the Pacifica. But other days...well, the black leather with red stitching on the Grand Caravan GT is sooooo nice.
Back in 2015 I got the Grand Caravan knowing the Pacifica was out next year. I didn't want to take a chance on the 1st and 2nd year run of a new gen and I do like the overall body design, less curvy, than the Pacifica. But the interior of the Pacifica I do like more.

Congratulations on your new car. I've never driven a Honda Pilot before. What's it like?
100 Rental Cars Thank you. I had a 2015 Dodge Journey with 55,000 miles on it when the motor mounts and computer plus many other things broke. I traded it in for the Pilot. So far the Pilot is very comfortable and roomy with plenty of creature comforts for the wife and our dogs. It has a lot of safety features and they work very well. The Pilot is easy to drive and handles great. The engine is a 3.5 direct injection 6 cylinder with a six speed transmission that is smooth and refined. The seats are wide and comfortable and the leg and headroom are super. The Dodge was a great highway cruiser but it was very unreliable. You should see if you could test a Pilot or CR-V and do a review. Keep up the great work and looking forward to more reviews. Have a great week.

There's a Plug In version of the Pacifica available. You can drive up to ~30 miles on battery power before the gas engine kicks in.

Does the Pacifica have a 12 volt outlet
In the back there’s a 12v outlet but it’s not your standard 3 prong one it’s the regular car outlet

@@100RentalCars the Jeep Wrangler and the higher end jeeps are completely fine I have a grand dad that's works at a local car dealership ship and it's not a Chrysler dealer either he actually worked where he works now and then left for a little while but it didn't go over as well and he moved back to where he is now. but it's a used car dealership and we have bought all of our vehicles from him except my mom's 2017 Denali XL
What's Touring L? Is that base or upper?
It's three steps up from the base L trim, the Touring L is the exact middle :)

Nope, it's Illinois. Somewhat related, I actually don't get any vehicles with traditional Illinois plates. Most are either from other states or they have a special Illinois plate for a fleet vehicle (it's white with black text and starts with FP).

Yep, that's one reason why I drive a Toyota Prius C2. I've chatted with plenty of people online that have 250,000+ trouble free miles. I'm at 60,000 right now and...well I would be ecstatic if I would get to 150,000 without any major problems.

100 Rental Cars If you google how far Maryland is from Chicago it’s about 900 miles and you rented this van with only about 1,200 miles on it.

This van should have been the new generation Grand Caravan, but instead, Chrysler in a very stunning dumb move, brought back the name plate that belonged to a vehicle that was the ultimate piece of shit and priced it, even in its entry level form, to be unaffordable for families on a budget and who need this kind of vehicle.
diman75 the Pacifica van here is very nice, and if you need a cheap van just get the current Grand Caravan

Agreed. I mean, I do like this minivan, but I don't see myself ever buying a car from Chrysler. I actually wonder how much longer Chrysler will be around. They only make: (1) the 300 (sedan); and (2) the Pacifica. And I don't see many of either on the roads around me.

It improved a lot! Get the Limited Platinum Trim! They have leather seats, AWD, Apple CarPlay! Best in class mpg, two different moon roofs, automatic sliding doors, DVD players, and much more! Please review the 2019 Toyota RAV4! I have one currently love it! Probably won’t see any in rental lots since they are new! And there will be a hybrid RAV4 soon!
