These are N numbered FAA LSA registered aircraft. You can fly them from anywhere it is safe to takeoff and land if the airspace is not restricted and weather permitting. There is a beach corridor past Chicago. They fly fine in the mountains with training on how to find landing spots and special wind conditions. You can get between 3 and 5 gallons per hour depending on the airspeed with a 14.8 gal tank (larger available) - average of 240 miles per hop. From $20,000 (some cheaper) to $90,000.
Aeros uses a shifting CG as well. However the REVO is center line pull and does not jam or bind like other designs that push and pull below or above keel. Bautek used a similar design closer to the REVO's design but not electric and not center line pull and DTA uses a unique design of their own that also shifts the CG with no binding issues that would sometime destroy actuators.
@nuticket You will need a VFR Sectional to determine legal flying areas. We have some used and new at Evolution Trikes in Zephyrhills, FL. There are other dealers if you search the web for flying trikes. Our best internet store is Barnstormers. Thanks for watching.
they used an electric motor and worm gear on the old blade i believe? ive definately seen a quik fitted with one of these in a magazine a couple of years back, it had a pneumatic piston that pushed it forward and back, dunno if they ever used it on a production machine
I find it ironic that the new Sport Pilot Certification and the certification of the newer sport aircraft (like this one) was designed to make flying more affordable and reachable for the common average man/woman. All these LSA craft being built coat as much as a house. The FAA needs to reinstate the old 2-seat UL rule. There was not a thing wrong with it
The FAA, like every other part of government, completely destroys ANYTHING that is good. There was nothing wrong with the exemption (2-seat), only it was a big spot light on the fact without government, aviation flourished.
Without the government regulating everything to death, EVERYTHING flourishes. The FAA drives up the cost of aviation with over-regulation. Just look at the avionics you can get for a light sport.. what costs $2000 in an LSA could cost nearly $20,000 with an FAA certification. I had to replace an alternator on my Cherokee once. $600.00!! its a Chrysler alternator... its $50 at Napa. Down to the LAST detail, it is IDENTICAL to the FAA Certified aircraft replacement alternator.
Regardless of the quality put into this trike, there is absolutely NO JUSTIFICATION for this aircraft to cost over $100,000.. All I see is a fancy gocart with a lightweight engine and prop on the back of it and a wing on the top. I can think of better things to buy with $100,000. Just imagine how much this thing will depreciate in value over 3 to 5 years of ownership. There's a lot more engineering that goes into a brand new car than this thing.
Now I thought the same thing when I first seen it. The website says 67, 500. I'm sure that's american money. I still find that to be quite steep. Allthough it is a very nice looking aircraft, I to, do not think it's worth that much. You could buy a very very nice LSA for that price, with a full cockpit, and one you could do aerobatics with, or a used cessna, and still have money left over for fuel or whatever.
Robert Smith I get it, but I am flying one weekly now while training for my sport pilots license and it is absolutely amazing. But, I won't be buying one for my personal trike, way too much for me. But, they sell ALOT of them so the price is obviously not hurting the sales.
for the cost of this, I can get training and buy with wing and all extra's. ten sets of paramotors with a lite trike,s too. so why would I want to spend what I could use it to start a paramotor school? and pay my self that much back to repay that amount back. so, why again buy this overpriced flying go-cart??
Go to evolutiontrikes.com and find a price list for the new ones. There are also a few used ones that are like new and reduced in price. There is also a contact number there if you want to talk about lessons or flying.
No expense spared Rolls-Royce of trikes for those demand the ultimate in trike flying.
Kudos to Larry and his team
Thanks. We replaced it with a "Compressed" version and it is working well. Please try again.

Agreed. I would rather buy used Cessna!
