Sadhguru talks about Rudraksha, and the importance of using a real Rudraksha.
What is Rudraksha?
Rudraksha is the seed of the tree 'Iloacarpus ganitrus' and it plays an important role in the life of a spiritual seeker. Sadhguru describes various types of beads and their benefits, including Panchamukhi and Ekamukhi Rudraksha.
Sadguru: Rudraksha is the seed of a special kind of tree. These trees are usually found in mountainous areas at a particular height, especially in the Himalayas. It is a matter of regret that due to the long use of these trees for laying trees under the rail tracks, very few Rudraksha trees are left in the country today. Today most of the Rudraksha trees are found in Nepal, Burma, Thailand or Indonesia. These trees are also found in some areas of the Western Ghats in South India, but the best quality Rudraksh is found after an elevation in the Himalayas as soil, atmosphere and everything has an impact on it. These seeds have a very distinctive pulsation.
Which Rudraksh should you wear? Ekamukhi, Panchmukhi, or more mouth rudraksh?
A bead can have from one mouth to 21 faces. They are used for different purpose, so buying Rudraksha from any shop and wearing it on the body will not be right. Wrong type of Rudraksha can disturb the person's life. Many people wear Ekmukhi, which has only one face, because it is very powerful. You have many faces of your own. When you have many faces, and you wear a single face, you are calling for trouble.
People say that if you wear Ekamukhi, you will leave your family in twelve days. Whether you leave your family or not, the issue is not, the only thing is that it will make your energies so that you would like to be alone. It does not make you friendly with other people. If you want to wear another type of Rudraksha, then it is best that you take it from someone who knows these things, not just buy it from the shop and put it on yourself.
Panchmukhi Rudraksha is safe and it is good for everyone, men, women and children. It is for general prosperity, health and freedom. It reduces your blood pressure, calms your nerves and brings a kind of calmness and alertness to the nervous system.
