- I gave Rocket League freestylers the ultimate mechanics challenge. All they have to do is hit simple mechanics for $100. This time, we're getting those shots from the alphabet to spice things up. The question is.. can they do it? Or will they embarass themselves?

heres how to hit a 0kph goal:
1. hold powerslide down
2. tap drive so that you slide forward very slowly
3. keep holding powerslide until you push the ball in the net very slowly

To anyone commenting “wow that champ is so good he should be higher ranked”, most of these things aren’t going to help you in a game. Unless you can do them at top speed and have next level boost control, which a champ does not. I float around C3-GC1 and spend a lot of time training freestyle mechs for fun, and the most mechanical shot I’ve hit in game was a reset double. Maybe an occasional flip reset when there’s space, but it’s just not necessary to get to GC. Sorry if it’s boring to hear but if you’re fast, adaptive, can shadow defend, have great recoveries, and can shoot/flick well, you’re all set.
No one is giving you the time and space in a GC lobby unless you’re just that much faster/ better than everyone else. Doesn’t help that the GC and SSL were feeling the pressure here and kept shitting the bed on their shots. Astro clearly spends time freestyling (hence the dominus) but that doesn’t mean anything in terms of ranked play.

@@teo_rl he obviously only trains mechanics? he lacked every department, he's nor a high rank player or could he move around on the field properly, slack movement and speed, but had the training mech down.
@@jonathanbacker3386 uh his mechanics were not flashy at all he was exactly on par for what a grand champion should look like. His game sense is most likely much better than his mechanics
