Many of the reasons above video is why the Xpulse has been such a hit. Its a much better motorcycle and company did the right thing by keeping it aesthetically minimal. No doubt, Hero managed tick almost all boxes with Xpulse.
surprisingly honda seems to be quite reasonable in cost of parts. Compared to hero. I.e The fully synthetic engine oil {in hero} costs around 1100. For 1 ltr. But Honda sells the 1 ltr fully synthetic oil for around 600 something. Am I right? On the other hand hero sells it's 200cc longer wheelbase bigger suspension vehicle x pulse for around 1.78lkh. compared to Honda selling a smaller wheel base, with nominal suspension travel and that to with too much hard suspension s {as described by the users} and with smaller engine for around 1.73lkh. Honda seems to be costly. What's your view? And the maintenance on hero isn't that high. On the other hand I don't really know how much cost Honda charges after the free services to the adventure category bikers.😊
Get things custom made.. dont wait for showroom guys to make it available ,especially the guards. My advice - Get aftermarket legguard and crossfit acc to your bikes mounting positions. Remove thave underbelly cowl, check RE aluminum bash plates and customize it to fit you bike. Flexible Fibre is advantage for a semi adv bike 👌.. chill out Bike seems fairly good, following your videos since the day you brought it 😉. -Old school Rider.
Am not defaming any brand or fan boys but, to be Frank the quality of Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha have started disappearing & this brands are selling their bikes here just because of the hype in the global markets.. Whereas our Indian brands are working towards improving the quality of their products.. for example check the quality Royal Enfield from its previous versions, TVS Apache RR310/RTR 160/200, Hero Xpulse 200 (it's a tank), KTM and Yezdi they are working hard to provide us great products.
Kudos to you for being honest about your bike. There have been many complaints with Hornet 2.0 regarding the built quality, fiber materials used and also oil leakage & gear shifting. Honda given the brand they are & the cost they charge for their bikes, when it comes to India are mostly focusing on aesthetics and not the complete product & performance. Soft fibers are good they are flexible. It won't make a sound, it won't break becoz those are flexible, same as my hornet from day 1 but still no issues of fiber crack or rattling.
I have also Hornet 160r 2016 model, jo aap issues bata rahe ho waisa dikhta hai, pr aaj 5 saal k baad bhi utni nahi khadakti, Or mene mere friend k FZ 150 dekhi usme 2 saal me sabhi jagah se avaj ane lagi, or signal light b tut jati thi usme, or dono k same kilometres chali hui hai
I own Xpulse & it's build quality is top notch !! I hv faced one minor accident against car but no harm on bike and me. Very Stable bike, even if you are first time rider you won't face any balancing issue. I am getting mileage of 42 before first service, which is decent. Only issue with xpulse is that gear shifting should be regular...you can't drive at higher speed at low gears...
