This is the second Nd time I have watched this doco! On TV then phone while sewing! what a clever lot of docs and nurses! What an amazing health system! I am an Aussie nurse, with Parky for 4 years and incontinence is my number one but lately dystopia is pushing past second, tremor third. I worry about swallowing. I need to look into this with my dear Doctor Wajih! Thanks Jo! Hugs WAHx
Jo I had my DBS operation 1 year ago and your videos made my life so much easier knowing what was coming. I have recommended others to watch these. Wendy Brisbane Australia x
Tears watching this - what a brave, incredible and amazing thing to share with everyone. I hope this has given you the relief you so deserve and are doing well.
well done Jo, I was awake when I had my procedure and can remember the frame and the holes being drilled, but 6 years on still going strong , I hope all is going well for you.
I had been offered DBs but I pulled out as I have problems getting the CT scan done but my tremors are not getting any better with any off the meds I am taking
Medicine is advancing more and more. I would like to know how much this treatment costs. I saw in the last episode that now the battery lasts 25 years and is smaller. Speedy recovery Jo.
Today i saw the power of education first all 5 years to be keenly devoted for the deep study after that master degree in Medicine and then specialisation in surgery as per there choice so i believe 8-9 years are completely devoted in studies only and then the reward paid to them after performing those surgery still they are involved in studies .
This is the second

I was awake for mine too alas my body rejected the equipment twice so they removed it and performed a left sided thalamotomy
I am really considering having this! It’s scary!
Absolutely incredible. Jo is so courageous. She is my best friend and I see her being brave every single day.
