Looks like he's faster than the elite WRs and RBs coming out of Texas and the nation for 2025 season, including DK Moore although he's currently committed to Oregon. But we do have a lot of speed on the roster currently, Hilton is very fast as well. Many ways these guys can be utilized and I'm sure Sloan will use all of their strengths to have the best offense on the field at all times.
I've never watched him play a down of football, but i did watch a couple of his track meets. Kid got some wheels on him. I think we could use him as a runner, receiver, or returner. Interested in seeing how they utilize him.
Idk… Watkins definitely has TDs in him this season (his speed is undeniable) but LSU has never used pure speed guys that well. Only Trindon Holiday and Devery Henderson. Now Caden Durham another 6A Track star (10.4 in the 100m) he may score 5 TDs this year at RB.
He will probably beat out Anderson as a returner and eventually as a WR... he can take the top off!! @@Cdrop63 TRUTH! We have an awesome staff that top to bottom can recruit with anyone. Whats going to be nasty is when we have Underwood(QB), Durham and Berry(RB), Watkins and Billiot(WR), and Green(TE) on the field. How can you cover that amount of speed and athleticism?
@@larrybarron6184 You can’t! Which is why I’m not tripping on Moore. He will eventually be a 5 star that doesn’t live up to the spectacle he created during this process. Book it! Won’t be the first one and won’t be the last one. If we can develop Justin from a 2 star to the highest paid non QB in nfl history I have zero worries about that position.
@@Cdrop63 Underwood has said schools have thrown the bank at him, but he isnt worried about money if he puts in the work he will make his money in the NFL. Moore jumped at Oregon and $1.3 million oh well have fun not winning a title because WRU will be just fine lol. We trip over skill players in La.

I’d use every inch of that field! Have them running vertical and horizontal all day and daring them to erase the angles lol

Jelani Watkins is long way from being a WR. Living in Houston I’ve seen him plenty. He can return kicks and punts maybe a screen but not WR yet
LSU has some great WR on the roster, but these TE’s Mason Taylor and 6’8” freshman athletic freak Trey’Dez Green are going to cause a lot of problems.
O line and TEs have been BKs bread and butter since conception! The man recruits those positions better than any coach in the nation in my opinion

Think Thomas will be returner this year that transferred in. He has experience from Mississippi State and was pretty good at it.
