No. In fact whatever merged card you end up with at the end you get to keep as an extra card. So I got another super powerful card. Not that it matters. This was the last fight for me in act 3.
The Mycologists are struggling to recreate or discover the old data through combining cards and I just happened to randomly find like 3 pieces/pictures of it while walking around the edge of the areas in Act 2 XD
So the background of the OLD.DATA fragment was a picture of the Füherbunker a bunker used by Adolf Hitler and Hitler's place of suicide in 1945. So maybe GameFauna has something to do with the Nazis? Also the mycologist could actually be two of his scientist/surgeons who did experiments with twins to attempt conjoining them? Maybe they wanted to find the remaining data they can get of their former master and probably someone they worshiped? So basically GameFauna could be in support of the Nazi or even be what is left of it after WW2, and inscryption was there attempt to bring back the idea but the idea of the game to act as bait to lure people kept changing, from act 1 to act 2 and finally act 3. Act 2/3 brought Po3 and the other(seemingly including the mycologist) to sentience with Po3 attempting the goal of spreading OLD.DATA to start a Nazism rise, but after all that they realized it would get them into deep water before it could grow so they burned the place with all evidence of the game and labeled it as an accident, it killed Kaycee which adds to the accident idea, she probably buried it from orders by GameFauna, but gave it's spot on a carb pack to expose them. (maybe she actually burned the place down to destroy the game and forgot the buried one she was going to use to expose them). That's why they killed Luke after they found out about his copy of inscryption, because they realized it wasn't a good idea so they didn't try to make it back and actually tried to remove all evidence of it's existence

I have read some comment mocking P03 for saying that you can’t draw on your first turn. However, this is because this is a rule of Karnoffel and therefore part of the Old Data, which can not be altered, destroyed or deleted.
My theory is: Micologist's were game funa developers, they got fired and they went mad, since we can see their faces when we fight them. But this is just speculations almost without any proof.
I think we might have some nazi stuff going on.. • they sound German like • the use of the ‘twin’ parallels • the mention of the karnoffel code Im thinking the old data will be revealed to be related to WW2 and game funa in some way..
@@Timetraveler2411 we already found out from like some months ago that it was all linked to WW2 and some people already hard cracked to found out the secret console and dialogs about the old data but eh sure
This could basically mean that Mycologists exist in the real life, since we know that PO3 can acces the IRL cameras, that means that Mycologists are technically sitting in front of a PC and trying to reach for the old data. But the question is, if they are humans why are they merged together. Upd: i have a theory that they were involved into development of the game, because lets look at it from the realistic perspective: How can you hack a game that is literally single player and does not involved in any kind of multiplayer activities, (i know that they appear in Act 3 where we can turn on the "multiplayer", but they also appear in act 2 where they somehow hacked the game and gave us glitchy key.) So my theory is that they are the one of the devs of Inscryption and made some kind of virus that allows them to access anyone's machine that has Inscryption on it. Maybe they are trying to investigate on what the hell is going on like Luke is trying to do. ARG SPOILER ALERT: I did not watched anything about ARG but i know what its about. Its about the location of Hitler's corpse. So my theory is that ARG was made by the Mycologists so that GameFuna will not kill them and people will know about Funa's strange activities.

With the Power of the Hex and the OLD_DATA, who knows what they could do Keep in mind this is just a THEORY. Not set in stone at all, Might not even be correct at all but its thought provoking.
I mean, will he find this? you have to put your cursor over a blank spot to get to this area, yes he did get the key but to use it you have to find this place so...
I saw in his vid he did get the purple key on his first run but knowing about the hidden places in act 3 idk. I didn't even know how to get the purple key until my 4th play through so I have high hopes for him.
I have my doubts. He’ll probably find the regular secret rooms, but the secret route for this boss is placed diagonally so even if you glean that it’s the same place as act 2 you might struggle to find the right spot. I wish him luck though
Do it. It's only about 20$ and between getting all the achievements in the main game and completing the 12 challenge levels in Kaycee's mod I've spent about 88 hours playing it. Well worth it.

When I first saw your Ourobot I thought he was done for until I saw that it's attack and health values were zero. But I guess the dev didn't expect for it to be abused just as much as the Ouroboros.
Ourobot and Ouroboros are the same card. Ourobot has the same stats that Ouroboros did previously. It's a 340/340 but in act 3 thats too big of a number so the "34" of 340 is pushed up to the the sigils spot. If you look closely you can see the 34 overlapped by the sigils.

It's crazy to hear the "Uberbot Activated" boss theme during this boss fight.
God damn are the voices for the mycologists cool as hell
Brother: What the fuck are you talking abou-
Me: TWO INTO ONE!!! TWO INTO OOOOOOO
TWO INTO ONE!
"Oh this fight is going kind of rough, I wonder how they'll pull this back"
_Ourobot with 340 attack appears_
I still question how these guys were able to figure out how to hack into p03’s body.
Old_data
"Two into one!" *proceeds to combine four cards*
Anyone else notice how the first mycologist no longer stutters?
Not nazi enough, but russiean-related was discovered after reaching and finding some secret codes from all the game and decoding an old data file show a conversation between some expected russian about karnofeel code
@@oxob3333 oh so it's Soviet related. I still think the mycologist might be two of Hitler's scientist, I mean who else would conjoin cards like how they conjoined twins. Maybe they were captured
I'm not a lore master who goes deep into the lore, I just saw the background of the old data fragment and it put itself together in my head. So all of this could be wrong and the mycologist are just game characters
@@derpyaxolotl7683 If you're really interested, there's a big youtube channel called The Game Theorists that has covered most of the known story across a few different videos.
It took me two tries with this boss...but I absolutely loved it. They were playing you, but there was no malice in it. You were just a tool for their experiments and curiosity like you always have been
mycologists: taking full control of p03
p03:NO SHUT UP YOU CAN'T DRAW TWO CARDS
God sometimes you forget just how sick the music in this game is
1:59
Me: Why would You make a 0/0 Ourobot with that many sigils?
2:52
Oh...
I wonder what would happen if you tried combining a Gem Detonator and Daus yourself during your turn, if it even is possible to get a Daus in Act III
The faces remind me of StarCraft 1 character models and old computer game close ups. Except cranked to eleven. That is terrifyingly terrific
• they sound German like
• the use of the ‘twin’ parallels
• the mention of the karnoffel code
Im thinking the old data will be revealed to be related to WW2 and game funa in some way..
@@Timetraveler2411 it is in the arg
@@Timetraveler2411 we already found out from like some months ago that it was all linked to WW2 and some people already hard cracked to found out the secret console and dialogs about the old data but eh sure
Oh.. I literally did not know about that…
Maybe they broke some sort of rule within Gamefuna? This game is so mysterious.
Probably one of there experiments they decided together on
@@groupdg if you are talking about why they are merged together then, i dont know, imagine how people react to them if they are actually merged IRL
Just realized these guys are named after people who study mushrooms.
@@LeSWG there's a case of someone who had 2 faces, a second one grew of the back of his head, it could cry or laugh without any sence, also he worked in a circus.
Aswell, tumors can grow teeth and eyes if given enough time, but idk.
just having the 343 attack ouroboros got me
They gave me Entrapta vibes, y'know? Whoever was in charge, they didn't care, as long as they got to do whatever they liked
Ah, I never saw what card they fused at the end. When I fought him, my abomination in the center had both Sentry and Deathtouch, so his cards died immediately.
Y'all don't know half of it I had a 223/223 orobot on the field when the mycobot got made and now it's a insanely powerful 3-drop
And you've got a freakin' powerful orobot, too! How much power is that?! 3140?!
The mycologists in this instance give me such a StarCraft 1 Terran unit vibe. Like the Goliath or Siege Tank portraits of hardened soldiers in a small mechanical space. If that makes sense.
This one terrified me.
Mycologists:"we have taken control over the robot, complete control."
Po3:"you can only draw one card at a time bro"
Some crazy overkill damage
Inscryption has to be one of my favorite games
the old data fragment contains the daus.
the d a u s
i sure do love it when people just put spoilers in thumbnails
I was confused when suddenly a new and real life face appears on PO3's face, then I realized it was the Mycologists due to the two faces and the shrooms
Now I wonder what it would look like if the other Act 1 bosses were real people.
MatPat: *Kicks down door*
"A fragment of the old_data, eh? A STRING OF NUMBERS, EH? "
I think someone said the fuhrer bunker is on the card. I can barely see it.
Theres a theory that the Mycologists are actually from a different Daniel Mullins game.
Spoilers for "The Hex", Seriously check it out its amazing.
The theory goes that once Rootbeer Reggie uses the Hex to Kill Lionel Snill, Reggie and Jerimiah use Lionel's body as a vessel (Hence the mushroom head on the side) and with the Hex (Or some other power) they Jump games into the copy of Inscryption that we witness Luke play. and with said mushrooms and knowledge of Technology and Video games they hack P03 to gain the fragment of the OLD_DATA so they can use it and study it for themselves.
With the Power of the Hex and the OLD_DATA, who knows what they could do
Keep in mind this is just a THEORY. Not set in stone at all, Might not even be correct at all but its thought provoking.
Imagine if you can see the fused abomination from those fusion in 3D form
mark is gonna flip…
I mean, will he find this? you have to put your cursor over a blank spot to get to this area, yes he did get the key but to use it you have to find this place so...
@@timothyt666 bruh idk… i hope.
I saw in his vid he did get the purple key on his first run but knowing about the hidden places in act 3 idk. I didn't even know how to get the purple key until my 4th play through so I have high hopes for him.
@@JBassmaster888 he has been exploring quite a bit so I have the feeling that he will find it
I have my doubts. He’ll probably find the regular secret rooms, but the secret route for this boss is placed diagonally so even if you glean that it’s the same place as act 2 you might struggle to find the right spot. I wish him luck though
honestly I initially thought the second head of the mycologists was a woman until this fight
Wow all of leshys dudes or what ever now officially have there own boss fights
Everyone is talking bout the part where PO3 is like: "Cant play, Haven't drew." Yet im wondering how the Mycoligists of all people survived.
Maybe they were never actually in the game, but outside of it
Man i’ve been looking for these two throughout act 3 can’t believe i missed this on my first run
well now I want to get the game myself
Do it. It's only about 20$ and between getting all the achievements in the main game and completing the 12 challenge levels in Kaycee's mod I've spent about 88 hours playing it. Well worth it.
yeah u should get it its rly good
100% worth it, i got it myself, and ive really enjoyed it!
The thing that I find most interesting is that all these entities that seem to have little to no connection to the actual Inscryption game (him the wood carver and the bone lord I think?) still have masks and mechanics in Leshy’s game. Which begs the question of how he knows about them.
Are we not gonna talk about the stats of the ourobot? cause i think he spent 4 WEEKS GETTING THOSE STATS
I did not know you could break the money counter that bad
the rabbit hole goes deeper....
Knowing where the old data came from and who was involved in its creation...oh God I can never look at the mushrooms again without knowing the implications...
Ahora que me pongo a pensar la señora de los totems es la unica mascara/personaje que nunca batallamos con ella, es extraño
dude like EVERYONE fucking sleeps on the mycologists why has no one like thoroughly looked at them
Did anyone else think the fact that the mycologists' mouths didn't at least look as if they were saying the words on screen was a little akward?
No, i was too busy shitting myself for how horrifying the image, sounds and implications of it were to care
I have the feeling that their meant to be German and we’re getting a English translation
Its a shame you don’t have a DR FIRE ESQ. !!
ahhh, a person with an overly overpowered ourobot leading to heaps of overkill as well I see!
I just like the lore gimmic of Mycologist
Like, outside of old_data shenanigans- his...their's fighting and look embodies their experiments
"There's no way this is rea-
*THE HOLOGRAPHIC KEY"*
When I first saw your Ourobot I thought he was done for until I saw that it's attack and health values were zero. But I guess the dev didn't expect for it to be abused just as much as the Ouroboros.
Ourobot and Ouroboros are the same card. Ourobot has the same stats that Ouroboros did previously. It's a 340/340 but in act 3 thats too big of a number so the "34" of 340 is pushed up to the the sigils spot. If you look closely you can see the 34 overlapped by the sigils.
@@JBassmaster888 That's interesting because I thought the dev would've just had the cards as separate entities. But I guess it saves on code to just have the same cards but with a different look.
@@PetrolHeadMotorsport I think the point is that there is one card that goes through the entire game that you can buff the shit out of if you get the chance. The only reason it was named differently was becuase P03 is a robot so all they cards have robot names.
Fun fact: this is actually Dan Mullins himself
I think Inscryption deserved to live, and just the old data on its own being deleted
The old data probably couldnt be deleted
id like to imagine old data was spread all over the code
I wonder if "two into one" is taking the various copies of the game to figure out missing parts of the old data.
Now miker needs to know about this
can we please talk about how many extra damage points this guy has
This is terrifying.
