I heard DAvid Hasselhoff was very Peopular as a Singer with the Germans.. I think it is interesting that he sings his songs in English and the Audience still Loves it. Is D. Hasselfhoff of German Heritage? Why do the germans like the HOff Man so much?
Hasselhoff is of German, English, and Irish descent - his family name is german. Most Germans/Austrians speak English, so there would be no need to translate the conversation simultaneously. I think the reason that we love "the Hoff" so much has to do with his song "Freedom" which for us is attached to the fall of the Berlin Wall.

I heard that English is considered the International Language nowadays. Many educated around the World speak English and that it is taught at most PUblic and SEcondary Schools. Sadly, there is one place where a lot of people don't speak English. That is where I am from- New York City as well as many other Major U.S. Cities.
@@HoldenNY22 Yes, we were taught English in our schools. In my time it began in the secondary (age 10 years), nowadays I think it begins in the primary. Now living for more than two decades in Southamerica I speak Spanish too. And yes, English is a world language. The only country where you can have problems with English is France and its ex-colonies. Although I like the melody of the french language ;-)
It is surprising that in NYC a lot of people don't speak English - I think it's because of mass migration from other countries.

Der EINZIGE, der an diesem Abend dort LIVE gesungen hat, war Andreas Gabalier!Sehr enttäuschend bei den Eintrittspreisen :(Aber alles im Allen war es eine super Stimmung!
Looking for Freedom war live gesungen, wir waren vor Ort, es war deutlich hörbar.

Auch typisch: statt ihn live singen zu lassen spielen sie Playback, allerdings mit der jungen Stimme über den alten Hasselhoff. Passt ja hervorragend -.-

Ich hab Hasselhoff schon live gesehen, 1990 war das. Heute singt er zwar auch live, aber meist mit dem Originalsong im Hintergrund. Quasi ein Hasselhoff-Duett.
Das ist bei TV Auftritten und einigen improvisierten Konzerten bei vielen Songs so korrekt. Von Veranstalterseite haben wir für die kommende Tour erfahren, dass David die Konzerte komplett live spielt. Also kein Duett mit sich selbst. Wir dürfen uns freuen.

Ich finde bei solchen Sachen immer schade, dass er nur nach Playback singt und nur diese 2 oder 3 Satzphrasen auf Deutsch sagt. Er kann sie sagen aber so ich natürlich keine Kommunikation möglich.
