    Love that you treat the culture, traditions and music with lots of respect. Speaks highly of you as a person and as a professional. Congrats,

      In Texas they are still a BIG deal, 400-500 guests. Looking forward to this video!

    My hat's off to you. I'm Cuban, and many of my gigs are a result of being raised in, and knowing the cultural importance of, the tunes and specific artists. The fact that you don't shy away from it speaks volumes. Keep up the great work.

    Hello Brian" I think your knowledge of the Quinceanera and Latin culture is Awesome. You know a lot of Spanish music and I know it a challenge because of the diversity between Mexican Music and Salsa /Merengue the dance floor is always changing & makes for a fun night . As for your Spanish dont give up I think you deserve more credit for what you know , iam sure you just dont want Blanca too known you understand when she talking about you (lol) . And as always your videos are always very intuitive and I enjoy them . Much appreciated " . Edwin 👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇲🇽🇵🇷

    Quinceañeras are very demanding and hard work but if you have an assistant it will help you a lot while you are DJ'ing. I at times have 3-4 quinceañeras a month and I be drained but I am passionate about DJ'ing and when they tell you how much they love your work, it is worth it in the end.

    Great video Brian! Other suggetions for mexican/american music i recomend is Tejano music : Artists like Selena ,Intocable ,Ricky Naranjo y los Gamblers ,Jay Perez , Garcia brothers
    Grupo Mazz

    • @steadymanos
      @steadymanos 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those artists are Tejano.. Try playing that in California or Arizona. The same like Banda. It's not popular in Tejas. The one that is popular is Selena except her Tejano music.

    Good job Brian. It would be cool to have a video on Latin music. Could help others. Thanks for sharing. Another term for 'americano' is gabacho. Take care Brian..

    You earned my respect my friend. In my younger days I mostly DJ'd Quinceneras/Mexican Parties. The first time I DJ'd a white wedding i was so lost. I didn't have music the guest requested - YMCA, Sweet Caroline, September, Loco-Motion,, etc.. LoL

    I have a Quince coming up in August, it’s only 4 hours. With all the specialty dances they are going to have they’ll be lucky to have time for open dancing.

    Great video Brian! I mainly do weddings, but have been doing quite a few Quincenera's lately. I usually quote them higher than my weddings because they are much busier I think. But in the end I still enjoy doing them because of the variety of music. I do speak Spanish, but not fluently..but most of the time the clients are more concerned about the music.

    Funny, That's why non-native speakers talk so fast. What they hear are the words going by a mile a minute. When the native speaker is just talking in their normal cadence. They're translating what was said 2 seconds ago instead of listening.
