There are times when watching the Voice where I feel so out of touch with what the judges are hearing that I do wonder if I have any idea what's really going on. Whilst Brooklyn has an undoubted talent, it seems to lie in the snappy delivery of the opening rap rather than in her singing ability. Frankly, Brooklyn's singing was at times painfully off pitch, to the point where I would have thought she had blown any chance of anyone turning. I imagine it was the breathless delivery of the opening section that meant she literally had no strength left to deliver the tune, but I don't see that as an excuse. However, the judges must have heard something I didn't and I will defer to their judgement and say I will be very interested to see how Brooklyn fares in the next stage.
Well her singing is about 100 times better than nick minaj, her rapping is almost as good... she has a great chance of success...
She may progress further in the competition, she may not. Either way, I'm betting she'll progress into the music charts; that rapping was delicious.

The Voice was obviously pranking everyone OR her family/friends have been pranking her to make her believe singing/performing would ever be a good idea for her. I'm kind of embarrassed for her. 😂

The home band is super good. They always elevate the singers to the next level with the arrangement. They are a good package for every singer in the competition. Good thing they have them aboard. Cool.

Sometimes I too wonder if the judges are hearing what we're hearing.. They put so many horrible singers through but when they get amazing singers they're completely undecided and no one turns.
***** I don't blame him, The voice flopped so hard in the UK, there hasn't been many memorable performers since it first aired. I don't even like X factor but at least decent acts who don't win can still get somewhere... The voice on the other hand, is a dead end for most of its contestants. Sadly even for the winners.

They saw potential in her voice. There are many people with wonderful voices that sing out of tune. If you search her up, you can see that she's improved a lot singing-wise, even though she's still not super great.

I love her style
I don't comment much on these things, having only done so on a participant's performance on show 3. But I really liked this. I neither particularly like rap, nor Nicki Minaj, but this girl, Amber Brooklyn (she called herself this) took on the song, hit the rap part spot on at the start of the performance, then as she transitioned into the singing part, she exercised very good control, her phrasing was excellent, and had a beautifully sweet voice right through to the end. Rita's reaction on turning around was priceless. I'm glad she chose Will, who could take her on to original work which will stand her in good stead and score her some success with teenagers who like this style.

Her singing voice is very mediocre and weak but not horrible. But she knows how to deliver the rapping part. All in all she's OK in this audition in my honest opinion. Nothing amazing or great but not horrible either.
