Hours later, the answer! Attach the lift arms and top link, then lift the rototiller blades off the ground. The implement spline may then be rotated to match the tractor. Not as easy as my Ford 1510 (rotates freely when not engaged), but it works.

Any tricks for removing the PTo protective cap on new kubota 4060?

Wrap with a clean rag and yank like hell! The grease forms a vacuum that is difficult to break. It will be difficult until you lose the cap somewhere.

Never that easy is right! He didn’t have an implement hooked up, just the first half. Like magic!
How would that quick-hitch hook up to that brush-hog after the PTO is attached?
What if the implement is a rototiller, resting on the blades? The PTO needs a “neutral” to line up the tractor with an immovable implement’s spline.
Please re-demonstrate with a realistic example.
