देश की सर्वोच्च अदालत ने दिल्ली नगर निगम में एल्डरमैन की नियुक्ति को लेकर अपना फैसला सुरक्षित रखा है... बुधवार को इस मुद्दे पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट में अहम सुनवाई हुई... सुनवाई के दौरान चीफ जस्टिस ने सख्त टिप्पणी की और साथ ही चीफ जस्टिस डीवाई चंद्रचूड़ ने सवाल खड़े किए... चीफ जस्टिस डी वाई चंद्रचूड़ की अध्यक्षता वाली बेंच ने फैसला सुरक्षित रखते समय ये कहा कि एक नगर निगम में पार्षद मनोनीत करने में केंद्र सरकार को क्यों दिलचस्पी है ? एलजी को लेकर अदालत ने सख्त टिप्पणी की है... कोर्ट ने दिल्ली सरकार और उपराज्यपाल दफ्तर से इस संबंध में लिखित दलील जमा करने का आदेश दिया है.... चीफ जस्टिस ने कहा कि एल्डरमैन की नियुक्ति का अधिकार एलजी को देकर वो लोकतांत्रिक तरीके से चुनी एमसीडी को अस्थिर कर सकते हैं....
