I upgraded mine with GFS Kwik Plug pups and high end control assembly. All fit perfectly...including the mini humbucker I put up front. My favorite Tele now!
That’s a great guitar for the price! I was looking at that too but to be honest, I chose the tele just because of it being simple. Two knobs, a three way switch not so many things to think about 😆 I think that’s why I hardly play with my Les Paul since I bought my tele
Next Friday mine will be delivered here and Im looking forward to put my hands on it. Be honest with us, does it really worth ? Can you tell it is a cheap guitar by the way it sounds, even having a typical sounds of a telecaster ?
It’s definitely a cheap guitar (sub $250 dollars US). But for a guitar with this price range isn’t a bad guitar. Now, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t come with its flaws because it does. Noisy pots, cheap toggle switch meaning it makes noise when you switch from one pick up to another. It’s not a guitar you can take to perform a show of course. But for a bedroom player or just hanging out with a group and play in a garage, this guitar will definitely deliver. Can I tell it’s a cheap guitar? From a far, no. But once you inspect it very closely, yes you can tell it’s a cheap guitar.
Have you played it yet? What did you think of it? I know mine blew me away as I kept playing around with the set up. Everything about this guitar, I believe, for its price is awesome! The tuners are a hit or miss. But that’s always replaceable and very easy to do.
I agree. If someone offered to buy all of my guitars and took all of them away. I’d buy my self a Squier Sonic Tele and be satisfied with it. To me, it’s that much better.
I have the same guitar in black . I bought it for $179 . No tax weekend in Massachusetts . So I can't complain . It's great for the money . But I have been seeing the 40th anniversary this week on line for between $249 and $299 😩 . I wish I would have waited .
@@charliechamporado454 I don't think so . I have had the black Telecaster a few months now . After a few adjustments the one I have is actually pretty good .
@@charliechamporado454 Sanded the frets down , changed the strings and adjusted the truss rod . It stays in toon really good and was definitely a good purchase .
That’s awesome! My neck pick up is starting to act up and I’m thinking the same thing. I have some soldering experience from when I used to be into the rc car hobby scene. Hopefully won’t be to hard to install
Yeah you are right the little screws adjust each saddle height. But to be fair to him, you do need to tweak all the heights and neck bow to get the action just right first, THEN you can do the intonation.

guitars now are a lot better than even five years ago , the necks i think are way better the frets are 100 % better

Are you still able to exchange for the 40th Anniversary?

And that’s all that guitar needs is just a little love and it will become a decent if not a good guitar.

If you can swing it buy it also.

Are the fret ends sharp?
They were surprisingly smooth. For a guitar with a sub $220 price point it’s really not a bad deal.
That's not how u adjuste the intonation.

While you were being careful using the rag so you don’t scratch the wood, it looked like you might snap the neck off 😂 jk
Get a good cord.
