My school had to stop announcing when the drills were because no matter what drill, some kid always pulled the fire alarm, BUT right when it happened, it was like 1-2 minutes before it was scheduled, so everyone was calm, but the teachers were freaking out bc they hadnt got an alert, and it would always get an extra hour to two hours outta class so they could find out who did it, good strat tbh

My school fixed their lockdown drills. We have a new system call Run, Hide,Fight. It’s honestly exactly how it sounds. The first thing you want to do if someone comes in the building is Run. Only if your in an room with a door to the outside. We have many things to run to that near our school. We have other school buildings, a plaza, a neighborhood, a church, a forest,etc. If your in an inside classroom or in a classroom near where the intruder is, you do the second one, Hide. This includes Turing off the light, locking the door, putting a cut up fire hose over that one part to stop it from opening, barricading. The last one, Fight is only in worst case scenarios, if they get in. If they do get in we are aloud to throw things at them, and fight. You throw things like binders, books, pencils, pens, your friends shoe. My band teacher even said we’re aloud to throw our instruments at them. Our police station is also like 3 minutes away from us.

Thankfully a middle school I went to did their drills depending where the shooter is located. If the shooter was far away enough we could exit the building and if they shooter was in our hall we baracated doors and were allowed to tackle the shooter and throw shit at them. I remember during a drill a classmate of mine had this big boulder and threw the damn thing.

kind of same with our school but we had this one teacher who seems like the most chill teacher, but she said if the shooters not near, we’re gonna jump on the roof and then jump down no matter what your bodily instincts we’ll take over and then also, she said to like kill the guy or hurt him Meanwhile, the other teachers are like getting the corner and sit down.

My second school had a basement that was one of the creepiest places on planet earth!
Like there were no windows just 3 long empty hallways and a bunch of unused empty rooms! And barely any lights!
Apparently the basement had been used as changing rooms for PE classes but after they built the new PE building they stopped using the basement and it was just left to rot for like 15+ years!
There were old shower rooms and old locker rooms that hadn’t been used for years! Some of the rooms were used as storage rooms for random items and other stuff but most of the basement was completely unused and neglected!
It didn’t help that the only 2 entrances were either a spiral staircase going down a dark hole! (You open a door at the top then go down a spiral staircase for like 5 meters or 16 feet 5 inches down) Or a overgrown hatch outside the main building that probably hadn’t been used in years! You would climb straight down on a ladder!
The only thing that was actually working down there was like 2 lights at the bottom of the stairs and in what I believe was the heating room or a boiler room of some kind. There were a bunch of pipes in there at least and you could always hear noises coming from that room.
Other than that the rest of the basement was dark cold and in some of the farthest away rooms there were even water and other damage from years of neglect!
And it never got fixed! At least not as long as I was there. The government didn’t think it was necessary to fix the basement floor.
The only thing I don’t understand was why they didn’t at least close the basement off to the kids and students?
That place was not only scary but dangerous and the school didn’t care if kids went down there. The only room that was locked was the heating/boiler room and that was it. The rest of the basement was completely unlocked to anyone who was interested!
I remember that we used to make dares to our friends to go down into the basement and stay there for X amount of minutes or whatever! It became a sort of bragging status for the students, who could spend more time in the basement without getting scared and running out!?

A toilet roll got lit on fire a few days ago, and everyone knew it wasn’t a drill, we just didn’t care. We all still walked out calmly. Someone even fainted.

Sad thing is, during a real lockdown drill. So there’s a hole in the door for my teacher to look out there to see who is at the door. The person looked through I look through, we saw each other face to face. He didn’t expect me to keep staring but when he looked away he looked back and I poked his eye from that hole 😂😭

I’m in middle school and our home room teacher has the best strat for lockdown. She get us all a sharp object and after 5 minutes or 7, she would open the window and let us all quietly get out but quickly.

the reason for the bad school food was due to the lunch "lady" how they make it at home.
we practiced the normal tornado drill all year and it actually happened, we went in the hallway and stood there while it was on the road right next to us

my school had a basement for our sewing, design and dance students. i was in drama (backstage) so i took classes down there for outfit design and made some small accessories (out of fabric mostly) for outfits. :D

Lockdown drills were practiced when I was in school but only either once a year or every other year. Purpose of that was in case someone was going to try and re enact the columbine shooting and since I got out of high school in 2017 there have been more school shootings than there were while I was in school

Personally during an actual school shooting I would’ve hidden in the ceiling because the schools I went to had like this square ceiling and one time i poked a rod at the ceiling and the square thing lifted up with little to no effort. And the ceiling wasn’t so high it was 5 feet higher than the cabinets.

When I was in elementary for tornado drills kindergartners would go into the councilors room, 1-3 grade kids would go to the boys bathroom, didn't matter gender and 4-5 would go to the girls bathroom none of them had windows so that was our best option since hallways had glass doors to the outside and the glass would explode and cut us (P.s no tornado actually hit our school during my time there)
I remember when we went into a lockdown bc the police told us to so they could do a drug raid… so my class weren’t 100% serious abiut it and they kept yelling and knocking on doors😗👌
I remember one lockdown they literally had us walk outside the school and the teachers ran without us cause apparently they thought it was a bomb and wanted us to evacuate a climb a gate to the school next door to us like that would help us lol and then later the police was like what the heck are you doing and they are like going to the other school and they were like no get back inside it’s a lockdown and they were like ok and then they put us in a small room with lights on letting people talk really loud and no blinds on the window and they were supposed to quiet us down and turn off the lights lol but they didn’t do that tbh I wasn’t surprised I went to a really dumb private Christian school all the teachers were rude or extremely stupid I was surprised but also wasn’t when they didn’t know the answers to math questions lol and asked us what the answer was and so were the students they were rich rude white privileged, racist, and homophobic so I wasn’t surprised lol unfortunately that’s Christian private schools for you so. Bro we had a lockdown drill that none of the students knew was going to happen and our security guard was yelling "GET DOWN, GET DOWN" and running through the hallways as if chasing an armed guy. And the kids above us were making noises that sounded like a shooter was opening the doors. We also had to put all our chairs in front of the door. It started with our teacher, he opened and looked out the door and the security guard was yelling. He closed the door and then the lockdown happened. Litterally scared me to death. I hate these stupid drills. I mean cmon if every school does drills then dont you think the shooters will know we are there anyway because they did the same thing while they were in school? I mean partially seems kinda pointless to make it to that extreme to me. I understand we have to be quick if it were real but like scaring the crap out of the students just for a drill?

At my school when we had fire drills they made us go on the field-surrounded by trees made out of WOOD, on GRASS- and made us back ourselves into a dang wall. In a realistic situation if there were to be a fire and we was doing that I’m pretty sure we would have done backed ourselves against the rock wall and let the fire rapidly close in on us as the firemen took two hours to arrive. I had formulated a plan with my bsf who was in the same class with me and the plan went like: We were in a class on the 2nd floor of our school where we had 2 possible stairways we could go down, the one to the left with was stone and the one to the right which was wood. Depending on where the fire was we would go down whichever staircase but let’s say we went to the left. Me and my bestfriend would jump over the railing of the staircase and land down on the 1st floor, then proceeding to push and possible obstacles out of our way and run out of the school and to the parking lot. There would be prisoners and prison guards alike running to the field while some prison guards would chase after us. Me and my bestfriend would then tackle and bodyslam any prison guards in our way and attack the head prison guard in order to open the gate and run out. We would then run into the street (possibly getting run over) and wave our arms around like madmen as we tried to attract attention from cars like those creepy hitchhikers. Unfortunately me and my bestfriend did not get to proceed with this plan, not once.
