Just came across your channel and loved watching all your videos. There's not enough wild west miniatures content on TH-cam. Great to see a new channel with good content, and I look forward to more!

@@rcnavratil wow thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you have liked the content, it's really helped me keep on track with my hobby doing these videos so it's nice to hear someone has enjoyed them 😊🤠
Hopefully a new video out towards the end of the week or early next week 🤠

For a old wood look, use brown with a dry brush of dark grey

@@TexasBoltAction you know I never would have even considered a drybrush of grey.
I was trying brown on lighter/darker browns/sand colours.
I'll definitely be giving that a test this evening, thank you for the tip!

I use the Army Painter Speed Paint brown leather watered down on old wooden as a contrast, iut might bexworth a try on the wagons. Great video.

Supergluing to acrylic bases: one drop of superglue to the base of the model; then quickly dab the base on a piece of tissue to remove most of the superglue and then place on the acrylic base. Works for me. If you spray some accelerator such as Rocket Blaster on the base, very lightly first, the model will stick very quickly. Doing it this way I find I don't get any frosting on the acrylic. Too much accelerator and it will frost though. A bit of trial and error needed.

On one the other hobby channels I watch, the guy uses solvent free superglue on clear acrylic, so think that might help you but I'm not 100% how easy that glue is to get. Great models but I too take my sweet time painting.

Have you looked at Foundry Miniatures? They have "civilian" characters in their Victorian/Edwardian & Victorian Bystanders pages - not all would fit with the Western theme (although the Victorian Bobbies on penny farthings in pursuit of the desperadoes might be fun) but if you wanted a Fagin and pickpockets, prostitutes for your saloon, or Resurrectionists looting Boot Hill, that's the place for you. And while these packs aren't cheap, they're not (yet) as outrageous as the normal Foundry stock.

      @@MalcolmRose-l3b hi Malcolm,
I've not had a proper look at the Foundry range but I'll certainly be taking a look at them now!
The idea of bobbies on penny farthings chasing desperados though a town or after a train has seriously piequed my interest and I feel like it has to be done now!
