Hi! Thank you very much for watching! Special thank you to everyone who allowed me to interview them. May Dandy Bear continue to live on! My social media linktr.ee/ohhe...
This was amazing. Dandy Bear really was a Miami staple. I remember when I first moved down here the commercials would run on PBS all day long. Truthfully Dandy Bear was more popular than Chucc E. Cheese in Miami.
I visited Dandy Bear two days before it’s closure, and I felt the nostalgia immediately rush back when I walked through those doors. It was probably 20 years since I was last there celebrating my cousin and I’s birthday in one of the party rooms. I was always fond of those animatronics and the tunnel was so much fun! I was that kid who would break the rules by jumping on the show stage, ahah! Today I went back after hearing that the location reopened as an Off the Wall arcade. So far, they’re still working on the place despite being open. I saw the owner and a couple of the staff moving around arcade cabinets. But most of the games that were there from Dandy Bear remain operational, along with several brand new games, including a Rabbids VR cabinet that has HTC Vive headsets on it! But it wasn’t working yet. A lot of the Dandy Bear murals and signage have been taken down, of course. But some remnants still remain. There was still a mural of the lion character up on the back wall behind the kitchen. The napkin holders inside the main stage room still has Dandy’s logo on it. Surely that’s all gonna go away as the owner continues to remodel the place. One of the party rooms has been painted with a blue and green color scheme to match OTW’s branding. And the rest of the interior will follow, at least according to the owner. The place is scheduled to close down temporarily in the Fall as they begin a more thorough remodeling project to include axe-throwing, trampolines and a full bar. So if you still wanna soak in that leftover Dandy Bear aesthetic, it’s best to go now while it’s still up! (And there’s a pop-up shop near the location)
I shed a tear, it was a touching video especially as someone who couldn't go it's nice hear and see the community coming to together. It's was a really sweet piece of history you captured, thank youu!
I miss working there and that's me in the red shirt saying it means alot to me I wanted it to stay there forever. Also I was Dandy Bear that you see walking around at the end. The very last day is so sad and emotional. Thank You for this.
I've never been here but I've always loved it! My friend actually owns the animatronic show now! He will most likely take very good care of them and maybe one day he could get them running in his garage or something
@@luczynx5549 there were three sets of these made with part of the first two being owned by me, and the last full set which the owner of the company has kept.
The good this about this is that the Dandy Bear animatronics are still performing to this day! Search up "Mech-a-dice" on TH-cam, he bought some of the bots and got em working, now they play songs from Chuck E. Cheese show tapes. The arcade and all that may be gone, but the characters aren't really gone forever!
Valentina: there's many like not other little atractions for kids to go to its all like electronics billy bobs wonderland : and chuck e cheese : ARE WE JOKES TO YOU
You know, there are all of these places similar to Chuck E. Cheese having not had aged well. Leading me to believe that Chuck E. Cheese is the chain similar to this place with the most locations and has the longest run. Basically no similar place to Chuck E. Cheese have as many locations as Chuck E. Cheese and didn’t have as much success as CEC either.
They didn't use their characters, and cec never patented animationics due to being made by Disney first So a suing doesn't make sense Although I'm not a lawyer so idk this is based off what I know

my love for u is infinite !! thank you for always supporting me, im so glad i was able this last bit of history.
As a kid from/ who grew up in Miami you are absolutely correct….& I love me some Chuck E Cheese but Dandy was different plus it had more to offer
I feel like Chuck E Cheese was always more popular than DB in Miami, sadly.

Rest In Peace you wonderful CEC knockoff, you shall be missed

i was wondering where that was all going !! that's super cool !
The owner of DB kept the running animatronic show from this location.
@@mech-a-dise2217 Must have been a different location then maybe, because he does indeed have dandy bear animatronics

I wish I was able to go there before closing, it looks like a fun place
their decorations were the same since the 90’s which made it so special and irreplaceable !!
They made a mistake by putting the animatronics by the exit Fwi
RIP Dandy Bear. I miss this place like crazy /:
It really sucks that Dandy bear closed, I used to celebrate my little brother’s and my other friends birthdays there
I hope it can come back after you know.
5:52 aw I like that little girl wearing a grogu shirt
I used a to go here every month ish, but the last day was the saddest moment of my life
Literally slayed. ILYSM KC 🤭🤭🤭🤭
I been there when I was younger a long time ago
5:15 At this point, the person standing next to Dandy is his owner, Mr. Jorge Sauma.
“Owner of Feral Child” 😭😭

Quick question as I am doing my research on Dandy Bear, what is all the animatronics names (including the dinosaur)?
dandy-bear.fandom.com/wiki/Dandy_Bear%27s_Funday_Band // I don't believe the dinosaur had a name. Hope this helps !! (:
@@ohheyyitskc Omg thank you!!!
@@Pringledrawsdo not use that fan wiki. Most of it is made up misinformation.
somebody actually owns the animatronics . idk if its from this one though.

Bro i went here all the time and when it closed i celebrated because that place was creepy af
Dude i cried

I wonder what the Chuck E. Cheese in Miami thought about this
They couldnt compete with Chuck E Cheese I guess
It’s been open since 1991 they only closed the owner retired
1:08 2 Tokens???????
Thats exactly what i was thinking 😭 $1 for 2 but $5 for 18??
Sad
😢
The owner retired
And I thought Chuck E. Cheese sued them
They didn't use their characters, and cec never patented animationics due to being made by Disney first
So a suing doesn't make sense
Although I'm not a lawyer so idk this is based off what I know
Bro dandy is going to the zoo
i know why it closed : chuck e cheese sent them a message to close cause it kinda was a knock off
it didn't use any of their characters.
@@warrenkec374exactly the CEC has had many retrofits why would they target dandy bears lol
1992 not 1999
1991
The backrooms platforms
I say it's closing because it's a rip off chuck e cheese
It’s closing cause the owner retired CEC doesn’t care about stores that resemble Chuck E. Cheese and imo dandy bear is better then cec
@CecoverDabest2019 you probably think it's better because you never went to chuck e cheese
@@jchavezc1654 bro I live in Texas Chuck E. Cheese is all we have LMAO
This is totally a Chuck E. Cheese rip off
And the play area had DZ written all over it
Not ripoff CEC, better CEC
And it's interesting because there's a CEC literally 7 minutes from this location.
