I’ve heard your name from many people that play and for the longest time I didn’t know there was anyone else. I’ve watched a lot more TH-cam videos in the last year or two then I ever have. And in doing so I’ve noticed that some people are easier to listen to or understand then others or people like the perspective of the person. I think you have a unique perspective that players like to listen to and being a leader people don’t always try to get that position, but stumble into it like you. I’ve Always enjoyed your content Cabbage. I’ve been watching since WOTV launch, I took a year break from the game but would still watch your content from time to time because I missed the routine of hearing your perspective. I have recently started playing WOTV about a month or two ago, and was quickly surprised at both how much things have changed, but also how much was just more of the same. To catch up, I watched your videos on new systems like trust stones and your tier list for EX character levels and found them helpful. After taking a break and rejoining, you definitely feel lost as far as just how many characters there are, and it’s hard to know who to build. One good thing is, when there are seemingly hundreds of characters, I feel less pressured to build any one particular one, and just focus on who I like. If you’re feeling up to making another WOTV video, maybe a video recapping some of the better recent characters and some other tips for returning players. Best wishes and keep up the great work!!
Speaking of VII Intergrade, I LOVED the little intro scene she has that’s all theatrical and stuff. It was so on brand for her and the music that played was so pretty! Square is doing a wonderful job with the Remake imo!
I never thought you stopped playing WotV or thought it was failing or what not. Just thought you were enjoying other games. I understand totally how you feel about the game cruising or being in the golden age. It does totally feel like that right now. It's great to hear from you every so often regardless, and I like that you consider youtube as an experiment. Your channel has never been about views but you've gotten them organically and that's super admirable. Don't feel bad about someone overlapping your niche. TH-cam is super full of that but there's still plenty of space for more. Sometimes things run their course, and I''m glad you feel inspired to explore other things. Been a while since I been here. I'm glad I got to play WotV, I now know exactly what kind of mobile game I don't want. That aside I'm glad you're doing well. I know when it comes to Yuffie some people will look at it one way or another, I don't care eitherway. The thing is however I didn't play Intergrade and I do like her. I just don't wanna pay more for a tiny part of a large project. I think since you do fashion, it might be an easy transition since you can go from game fashion to IRL fashion if you'd like and give the tiny details and your opinion clearly. Think about it like this, sometimes we get the call to action, and not everyone who answers becomes the leader. You don't have to lead if you don't want too, but if people make you their leader...then it's gonna be pretty hard to change their minds.
Good points, calls to action do come to those who don't ask for it and I did feel that I was made a leader by the community. It was fun for a while but yeah, I came to the conclusion it wasn't for me
I really agree that the story is too character centric. It's great if the characters they focus on happen to be someone you like. But If so happens they focus on a character you don't enjoy, you end up falling off with the story. There's no world building or some kind of overarching mystery for you to grasp on.
Welcome back, I just quit Wotv when I saw they added 140 for units. I have zero interest in lazy models of character upgrading. So many different systems they could have added. So, shrug. :)

Over time, games like these just end up getting monotonous when there isn’t anything innovative and exciting…I mean, I hardly would consider grinding and random re-rolling for better stats to be exciting. I’m glad to see you creating some stuff again, and that you’re reinvigorated with Yuffie being one of your favorites. :) We can all see how much you enjoy her character. …but should the hype be short lived and you decide to drop the game altogether, so be it man. In the end you know yourself best, and when enough compromising is enough, especially as it applies to your happiness and sanity. because it's Gumi, I only have to look at The Alchemist Code to see what features or QOL improvement they'll bring over. They had the EX (Job+) and Truststones (Truth Seal), so I'm fully expecting the last feature Dream Enhancement/Reincarnation to resemble Enlightenment.
I wonder what mobile game you think has long staying power? If the game is mostly pve it seems like the bosses become HP sponges with one hit ko attacks. On the pvp side, it seems like it is hard to keep most units relevant. Maybe this is the million dollar question haha
Yeah, if you could solve those problems everyone would want to hire you, ha ha. I guess we just have to accept that mobile games have a limited life. But like Diablo 3 or World of Warcraft or FF14 seem to have it figured out? As for mobile games, I always point to Monster Strike, Fate Grand Order, and Puzzles & Dragons. I think simple gameplay is one key

Please not just "a little while" , but until WoTV closed (that seems will be very long time if we see how FFBE fare till this time) .... I fully aware, your content is not so detailed such as Mysidia or Umbra, BUT your point of view on the "situation" in the game overall give me good insight. Your attention to detail such as the case in Valentine Salire and the corelation to global is one of the example. And sometimes your "early warning" on the situation that potentially become problem also give me insight (such as the fixed paid pulling issues last time) that me myself took advantage on. And also your point of view on the new unit which how its fare in JP make a good reference to me.... anyway, i respect your decision if you somehow still decide to stop covering WOTV. I really am coming around to the idea that the average shelf life of a mobile game per person is about 2 years. 1st year is hype and fun. Then the 2nd is about learning the systems and then feeling that your time is just being lead around on a leash.
Yeah, I'm thinking that too. Monster Strike I stayed with around 4 years but that was the exception, maybe it was because it progressed so slowly in comparison to games these days
Your insight into the game and the JP side of things, and your character/morals in general, is what hooked me to your channel as the number one place to go. I so agree with the complications adding up in the game. With priorities in life, I only have so much time to put into a game. I still play but I do not spend time getting the best scores or the best trust stones or try to win every guild match. So I enjoy it more because of that. Thank you so much for your content!!! it is funny that you originally just wanted barrett and MAYBE cloud, but you pulled aerith...i..think it was on barretts banner wasnt it? idr if it was the same 10 shot or not haha, but i feel like it might have been. and you arguably have gotten waaaay more use out of aerith than barret, or at least she was featured in more videos/content you've done. definitely fate that you pulled sephi by accident, and its nice that you got yuffie basically within your 10 pull limit if you count free pulls as well.
Yes, it was the same 10-shot! It was funny, I didn't really understand that I might pull both until the FF7 flag came a 2nd time and it dawned on me in a rush, ha ha. And yeah, Aerith turned out to be the most viable for the longest time after Cloud, ha ha. I was very lucky.

So glad to see more WoTV content from you.👍 I agree that the story was less enjoyable but I’m just glad they didn’t drag thing out like the 1st season where there were so many chapters of the party just traveling with no story progression.... Also understand why they need to keep adding new systems/enhancements. However I just feel like this goes against them saying they want to make the game more accessible & user friendly. If I was a new player & saw how complicate this game is now, I’ll just uninstall the game.😅 Lastly yeah you should just cover the games/contents you enjoy. Your Nier Rein contents really helped me get back into the game. I downloaded the game since the 1st Drakengard 3 Collab, but didn’t really play the game cause I was really lost! i think one of the reason why i might quite wotv is the re-incarnation system is absolutely devastating and time wasting base on the amount of material you had to farm and waste on it.
guess you never played dimensions then? alba is just like that but taken to 1000 lol so as much as i may like yuffie shes not really all that unique alba is her but amped up and so much better for it lol
been watching you for quite some time. i am dont with wotv as well. i dont like the direction the game is going. tik tok stars dont belong in a final fantasy games. the second i saw it i unistalled the game. sad day. been playing since day one and have little to no regret. square enix is dying anyways. they went so far from the actual wants of their player base. its unreal....

And sometimes your "early warning" on the situation that potentially become problem also give me insight (such as the fixed paid pulling issues last time) that me myself took advantage on. I really am coming around to the idea that the average shelf life of a mobile game per person is about 2 years.
1st year is hype and fun. Then the 2nd is about learning the systems and then feeling that your time is just being lead around on a leash.
Yeah, I'm thinking that too. Monster Strike I stayed with around 4 years but that was the exception, maybe it was because it progressed so slowly in comparison to games these days

I so agree with the complications adding up in the game. With priorities in life, I only have so much time to put into a game. it is funny that you originally just wanted barrett and MAYBE cloud, but you pulled aerith...i..think it was on barretts banner wasnt it? idr if it was the same 10 shot or not haha, but i feel like it might have been. and you arguably have gotten waaaay more use out of aerith than barret, or at least she was featured in more videos/content you've done. definitely fate that you pulled sephi by accident, and its nice that you got yuffie basically within your 10 pull limit if you count free pulls as well.
Yes, it was the same 10-shot! It was funny, I didn't really understand that I might pull both until the FF7 flag came a 2nd time and it dawned on me in a rush, ha ha. And yeah, Aerith turned out to be the most viable for the longest time after Cloud, ha ha. I was very lucky.

I agree that the story was less enjoyable but I’m just glad they didn’t drag thing out like the 1st season where there were so many chapters of the party just traveling with no story progression....
Also understand why they need to keep adding new systems/enhancements. However I just feel like this goes against them saying they want to make the game more accessible & user friendly. If I was a new player & saw how complicate this game is now, I’ll just uninstall the game.😅
Lastly yeah you should just cover the games/contents you enjoy. Your Nier Rein contents really helped me get back into the game. I downloaded the game since the 1st Drakengard 3 Collab, but didn’t really play the game cause I was really lost! Your contents helped me to understand the game so much & now I play it as much as WoTV.(yeah I have no life)🤣

Don’t know how much you’re keeping up with WoTV’s story, but I think the back story for Sadali was interesting. Now I’m really just stay for Sterne & Sadali. It’s like with FFBE the best were season 1 & 2. Season 3 wasn’t interesting until almost the final. Haven’t really got back for season 4 yet.😅

i think one of the reason why i might quite wotv is the re-incarnation system is absolutely devastating and time wasting base on the amount of material you had to farm and waste on it.
Listening to the people that went through with dozens of resets, yeah, it's a lot of time and tapping and resources. I won't get too deep into it

been watching you for quite some time. i am dont with wotv as well. i dont like the direction the game is going. tik tok stars dont belong in a final fantasy games. the second i saw it i unistalled the game. sad day. been playing since day one and have little to no regret. square enix is dying anyways. they went so far from the actual wants of their player base. its unreal....
That collab is pretty surprising! Sorry to hear you uninstalled, I'm sure there are other factors too. And no regrets, the game is a service and if we had fun in the moment, that made it worth it
