*19/06/2024* I really want to take a moment to thank you all for all the love and support you guys have shown me ; I read all your comments (trust me I do) I just get lazy about replying to them...but trust me I will reply to them in this video for sure. Silent Hill 2 was one of those games that I wanted to play for some time but never really got around to playing it but it was on heck of an experience that game , you should check the game out yourself. I tried adding subtitles to this video (ik they aren't great but it was my first attempt at writing them) WRITING SUBTITLES IS TOUGH like really tough and time consuming , jo logo ka job hota hai subtitle likhna I salute you! I really enjoyed working on this project could have done it better I know... I do NOT expect this video to DO WELL AT ALL like if this video crosses like a 100 views ; I will be surprised , because who wants to hear about a videogame which was released in 2001 right? But again I truly am grateful and thankful to you guys for all the love and support you have shown me

As a cinephile, I respect and adore this game a lot. Walking through the fog on the streets, meeting strange characters, topnotch sound design and a terrifying villain who made me piss my pants everytime he entered. Silent Hill 2 is really the silhouette for the modern horror games. With the announcement of the remake I hope they do justice to this masterpiece

Didn't you hear about the enhanced edition of pc port which fixes all the issues of the game and even makes it better than the original version of the game ? it's the probably the best way to experience silent hill 2
The PC version of Silent Hill 2 has a fan remaster called Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition It has so many quality of life improvements like widescreen fixes, better cutscenes, HD resolution support, upscaled fonts, etc... But obviously I recommend playing this version in your 2nd play through rather than the first time Speaking about the bad HD Remaster for the PS3, Konami literally used Comic Sans for many sign boards in the game so don't play that

I finished Silent Hill 2 last year and I can say it is one of the best psychological horror games ever made. The game scared the sh*t out of me. Completed it with the "Leave" ending. The opening guiter theme by Akira Yamaoka is just damn good

Silent Hill is one of my favorite series, you can see my profile photo is Scarlet from SH Homecoming 😂 SH2 is undoubtedly the best in the franchise but 4 and Homecoming are my personal favourites. Looking forward to the remake! Please play The Medium if you haven't. Don't go by the negative reviews, go in blind. It's the closest to SH2 we have.
The narrative writer for SH2 Hiroyuki Owaku said in one of his interviews that the basic premise of SH2 was actually inspired by Fyodor Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment. James Sunderland's guilt was so deeply rotten that his sub conscious went into a downward spiral which led to the physical manifestations of the monsters in the game. Similar to the Book, a man's guilt of killing his wife has been used as a primary arc to push the narrative. Also Lynch's Twin Peaks were an inspiration to Yamaoka San for his musical compositions.

Back in 2000 - 2003, in a small gaming parlour in a small town of India so many of us were big fans of silent Hill 1 on PS1 and others like fatal frame series, siren and the suffering.
Honesty this game is surely annoying at a lot of places, there is grind, and lacks simplicity. 🙄😑 But also, on of the best games in psycological horror genre. But I don't think I will replay it(later may be) 8/10 I got the in water ending btw 😃 Which made me kinda proud for some reason
For some reason the ps2 graphic of silent hill 2 adds to the atmosphere. I just don't feel connected with the remake, especially when it's about the fog.

Well in my small town of Bikaner at a gaming parlour, back in and around 2000 - 2003 we were all crazy about silent hill 2, Onimusha, Fatal Frame, Forbidden Siren, the suffering. It's already been over 2 decades and the memories bring a tear to my eye.
@@akira4142 absolutely!! I am still living my life at the age of 37 in awe of PS1 games like fear effect, dino crisis, parasite eve 2. There is a magic in those memories that cannot be communicated to people who havent had the chance.
