BCU… you’ve always been an amazing band, a force in the HBCU world, and everyone recognizes your reputation. With that said, you have to start listening to your fan base( compliments and constructive suggestions). Please have all Drum Majors blow their whistles in the beginning so that everyone can hear the start, adding some new and creative field entrances would be spectacular- entering from the end zone or back every time is too traditional at this point, always drill the field, watch your tempo during the concert selection, dismantle that four-line block home structure, reposition the flags around the field and incorporate them more within the show other than always as a straight line in the back, and finally give us something unexpected and innovative to have others looking at you as the “new standard.” Otherwise nice show, great sound, 14k🔥, high marching, and your point and drive never miss. Thanks for your presence and entertaining us.
Great pointers especially for that flag line because they absolutely add nothing to their show because they're so much far behind the band and the color of the flags gets lost because their uniform and the band's uniforms are all the same color. Hopefully next season brings new ideas and new energy to their shows.

You hit the nail on the head. I’m from FAMU but I respect Cookman. This show was so watered down no drill and straight to concert formation not acceptable at the classic. They got to once bring something new been seeing this same concept for over 20yrs

This wasn’t a complete show the best was the DAMu with lower case u. Something really off with Cookman this year they didn’t even drill show always very predictable it’s time for new leadership. They had all year and didn’t really see any bands this show wasn’t that good.
I don't know what's going on down there but Bethune-Cookman has been uncharacteristically sloppy this year. This is like the second or third show I've seen a lot of crooked lines and people not knowing when to step off. DeBarge song sounded great but they played it slower than the actual song which made it drag on.

I was there . I am a proud Rattler mom and FAMU was outstanding the Originators not the Duplicators. I felt bad for BCC because I know a couple of members. When they started too early it just was not good after that. BCC tried to play Snooze in the stands and it was not good. Then thy tried to play Hey Let’s GO not good . Then they left and did not perform at the 5th Quarter. Many Blessings to all HBCU Schools. ❤❤

It's on par for the Classic! It gets the crowd going! It was entertaining. But wouldve come off better, had they had an actual show and not waited until the end to do that.
I marched at Cookman from 99-03 and I was not impressed too much. I wished that we could have started with the ending and built it up from there. Being a president for an alumni association I know the struggles we are experiencing as an institution. I believe that we keep the same way of entering the field to keep it consistent. If we changed it, the comments would not be great job it would be they are trying to mimic another band.
I agree you can’t please everybody. However the show didn’t pick up until FAMU/DAMu and that’s with a lowercase u lol. This the classic and suppose to be the best show of the year but the entire season was lackluster.

Locally it was raining all week(practice), but that ain't no excuse.
This actually was a creative and good show despite the mishap in the beginning; unfortunately that took away from the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop Tribute, the 🔥 Drum Major Entrance. 14K old school dance with DM’s was nice to see, the snag at the 100’s fast march, and the epic FamU DamU formation got major house. #HailWildcats

Parents, be aware, although BUC Marching band is large and known as famous, there are some negligence, unfortunately, there are those whom entered into this program that were subjective to influences of drug abuse. Sadly, this has contributed to a loss of many youth that were potentially success stories, but because the leaders of the music program and other administrative personnel, MMB name was taken in vain and many potentially successful blacks, male and female were robbed of their future in society, because the drug abused induced by former band leaders and it's followers tainted others for life, while they may have moved on in life themselves, without turning their inner thoughts towards the many they've damaged, it's no thing to be proud of and have black children of their own who are subjected to the same fate they've induced unto others 😮
Bcu band is no good. You have to rely think bcu band is no they are not. The number one band is famu. They sow you that Friday night. And Saturday at half time. Bcu have to get someone to help them.

This was one of their best shows in a while to me! Very reminiscent of the early 2000s band! And I lovedddd the DAMU and I’m a Rattler! We need that friendly competition!
