@remoteportal Of the "top ten" type stuff anyway, definitely not great, all autotuned junk, I saw video of an autotuned cat yesterday, put it that way. 😂 There is lots of great stuff being made today, it's just not mainstream, and you'll never hear it on FM, plenty of good prog today for sure. Also, to be fair, the best APP stuff didn't get much airplay either as I recall... 🤔

Alan Parsons Project was a staple of my growing years, I listened to them on my way to and from work. Every album and cassette tape wore out from multiple plays. I gladly purchased replacements just to continue my enjoyment of such wonderful music. I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried. I do appreciate Tales of Mystery and Imagination very, very much, so I suppose I have chosen. Still, all their songs are so much appreciated.

Wow, I started to listen to the Alan Parsons Project when I was 12! When music had meaning and could tear your heart into pieces. What the hell happened? Where did we go wrong? We are in a place where music has no deep meaning anymore. Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons Project, Rush. I'm at least thankful for what we had and we can at least look back in fondness when the world had more meaning.
When Disco started to wane and Rock returned to those (temporarily lost radio stations) kids complained that "Rock ate up all the good lyrics in one song".
To me that was a lazy answer... as we're now finding out. But kids these days are rehashing those vintage tunes into renditions for pre-schoolers.

...in my younger days it was a wonderful peaceful time with this music...now I am old and wise...and I can get a happy feeling for locking forward on my way...
Those of us who heard the vinyl record enjoyed the uninterrupted connection between "Sirius" and "Eye in the Sky". For the decades since, every time I hear the abrupt start or stop of those two, I recall the way APP intended for it to be heard.
Of course with this edited version of EITS we lose the connection with "Sirius". But in my opinion, the original link between the first two tracks of this album is not successful. It's a personal opinion of course but I'm a musician and the open hit hat on the first bar of the EITS is really messed up. It seems to accelerate the tempo in a really bad way.
@@RUTRareUnreleasedTracks okay, what do you think about Led Zeppelin tracks of Heartbreaker and the Living Lovin Maid. I think those two go together well if you've ever heard them from the original vinyl.

Music came from the heart,it meant something unlike a lot of the music put out there today.its only recorded to make money not to be played,listened too and remembered for years to come . Take me back to those unspoiled ,care free years when everything was alright so long as you could listen to Floyd, E.L.P, Mr Parsons, Camel ,the list is huge.. music back then was ground breaking. Good music lives for ever.

Wow, lovely selection of amazing tracks from APP. This music is a sonic drug that vibrates my brain into harmonic perfection. I don't know what that means, but I like how it sounds.
This is the sort of music l don't listen to very often, But when l do l promise to listen a lot more. Maybe one day. when l'm old and grey l will and it will all make sense. Silence and l is so beautiful.

Why not I wish it could be. Nothing seems to be okay or good 😢anymore. I guess it’s because of my age 67. Sure wish I could relive the 70,80 and 90’s that was the best part in my life except when little. I think 🤔 when 2000 came things really changed some good 👍 and bad 😢but NOW don’t feel like I belong.
