We don’t need that much hardiness here. Zone 8. We go for what gets least amount of disease and pest infestation. Always selecting for roots best compatible with the soil. Hardiness is not the highest on my list although still important

crazy yall are choosing to graft this onto less hardy combo trees when black ice is one of the more hardy plums.
