hey Ben, long time follower here. My dad has restored a vw eurovan, major costs involved in those and poor designs that can be costly. The timing chain and guides alone were $5,000 usd at a competent shop. Love the old syncro vans though. Might I suggest a Japanese minivan converted to a camper to get you on the road asap? Here in the US a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey can be had for $3,000-$5,000 and they are infinitely more reliable than the pretty vintage things we all love. Just a thought!
Yes, I for sure am aiming for something that's at LEAST from the 90's! I don't actually want to get stuck on the side of the road, I've done that enough ;) Thanks for the advice :)
I have! I’ve got some work coming up editing and filming for a company near by which I’m grateful for :) and people seem to be buying art everyday! Learning to make a good coffee is a great idea though!
Really nice vibe Ben! Be positive makes life so much better. And you inspired me to do that again! I hope you can make that Dream Come true to buying a nice Van Benjam! And never thought that such a older fan already got a shower! Thats awesome! Little detail of the video😂
The Benjam VAN! Love it! Yes, positive vibes are powerful and magnetic, it's important to feel all the feelings, every the uncomfortable ones not just 'bypass' the hard feels by being positive all the time! and interestingly, the more familiar I become with the 'darkness' the more light becomes available, the more I appreciate feeling 'good' or being 'high vibe' like this! The tree can only grow up to the light as far as it's roots grow down into the dark fertile soil! Thanks for being part of my journey :) x
Cornwall is so beautiful 🫶🏻🥲 Sorry if I missed something, I’m bit confused if you still have Pumba or not..? Cause you had a tent on it, so I dunno if it’s possible financially to drive from SA to the U.K. with it or put it in a ferry boat 🤔🤗?
OK so Pumba is for sure staying in Cape Town for a number of reasons, mainly because I'll need a car there when I return, and it's such an old heap of bolts only in Africa would it be road legal lol! One day I'll drive it back to London, but she needs a full £25k rebuild first, so that won't be for a while yet! In the mean time a van would be more appropriate in the UK for my plans :D
I really hope you get dream van you've always wanted. Can you film some museums or something like near you? I also hope this doesn't come off wrong or anything but Have you considered working at a coffeeshop part-time or something? I seriously hope in the near future you have one of your very own coffeeshop
YES! I'm already feeling so much gratitude for even having this community and all the support I'm receiving, it feels great to be transparent with my financial situation, and I KNOW that things are going to get REALLY good, I know this because I feel it already, it's DONE! Much love x
"Just as the soul animates the whole body, and every member thereof, but abides especially in the heart, so God, while present everywhere, yet makes his special abode with our spirit. Dwell upon this thought until you have kindled a great reverence within your heart for God who is so closely present to you." -- St Francis de Sales
I was making more than that some months yes! Here's where it went; new cameras, new laptops, buying friends laptops, giving away old camera and tech rather than selling, employing friends who needed work but with no ROI, paying for friends flights, buying more drones, paying for insane insurance, MF TAX, corporation and personal TAX sometimes 45% of my earnings... THEN PUMBA OMG the repairs... I can't even think about it lol What else, paying rent in the UK and in Cape Town for like 3 years... Then it all went very south when I invested £75k into trying to build a film production company and then the whole motorbike accident happened so I went over £50k in debt, that took 3 years of graft to pull myself out of... So yeah, after all that deep down I've be afraid of being successful financially because I don't trust myself to make good decisions with money, it's a deep subconscious imprint that I'm working on with hypnosis etc. Thanks for asking, hope that helps!
@@benbrownThank you for sharing…you really didn’t need to, but wow, that really puts everything into SO much perspective. I hope you get to a place where you feel safe with money and get to a place where you’re consistently earning enough to do what you want to do

Have you ever thought about getting a full or part time job (i.e., a barista, etc.) to save up for your van dream?
I have! I’ve got some work coming up editing and filming for a company near by which I’m grateful for :) and people seem to be buying art everyday! Learning to make a good coffee is a great idea though!
Absolutely adore these simple vlogs! Maybe during them you could do a q&a section ❤
The Fairfield Horseshoe is an epic run in the Lake District brother. About 20km with unreal views.

Congrats ;) I've been working off-screen, it's been delightful! Get back on the edits now though x
You must have been brining in like 15/20k per month at the peak of your TH-cam. Where on earth did it all go?
I was making more than that some months yes!
