My Dad has been gone since 2007. This was his favorite Juice Newton song. Actually it is the only Juice Newton song that the even liked. I think the majority of the reason he liked it is the kind of outlaw western and poker theme! Plus it's a very upbeat tune. Now, in 2023, when it feels like the my whole world is crumbling all around me, I go to music to find a moment of peace and sanity. This song came up on some list that I had decided to click, had no idea it was going to play, and it instantly gave me a big smile and so many memories playing in my head right along with the song, thinking about my Dad. As I silently sing along, I can't help but smile, remember and feel happy while it plays.
@@imkillgod0095Thank you for that! That's a very neat thought you are doing. And actually, though I do think of my Dad everyday, earlier today in my mind I was really going over and over a couple particular memories of him. :)
my dad is still here but he lives 7 hours from me and I listen to this song because he likes it a lot and it reminds me of him. Daddy's are special. I'm so sorry. You can say you know someone who will have the same memory of their father.
Aw, that is nice to know, because no one would automatically think "Dad memories" for this song, so it's nice to know we're not alone in that! That is a quite a bit of a distance from you, but I hope you do get to see him though and/or at least talk to or message a lot. But doesn't help missing him when he's not there in person! They really are special. :) Thank you so much.

So sorry for your loss.. SO SORRY! I lost mine about 7 years ago, and I wish I could say it gets easier, but that would be a lie... it's been by far the hardest and worst thing that I've EVER had to live through! I still have her phone number in my phone, and still pay her phone bill every month all these years later, just so I can call and hear her voice on her voice mail when i need to... Weird? I don't care... I love her so much I didn't want to forget what her voice sounded like and I didn't have any messages from her saved on my phone...Again, sorry for your loss..

With its rockabilly arrangement, borrowed from David Edmunds' version, it sounded out of touch with the 80s back then, more like a 50-60s song in the style of the Everly Brothers. But it was a great radio song for sure!
@@knotwilg3596 I was in the early 90s, but I understand there was a new rockabilly wave in the late 70s, early 80s. I'm from Argentina and I know there was a new rockabilly scene in the 80s influenced by a rockabilly revival around that same time in the USA

This is the song that convinced my son to learn the guitar. 12 string was the eventual goal just so he could make it sound like the strumming in between the words. He mastered that and much more .. all from this song. I played her cd in the car more than not. :) We love Juice!
I fell in love with Juice Newton's energetic music in the 1980s, when I purchased a cassette in Australia. I listened to her a lot while in the USMC. I want to see her in concert. Over the years I've had many pitfalls, disappointments, as everyone does throughout life, and lost all of the music I once had. When I logged into TH-cam today, a suggestion to listen to Juice's song Queen of Hearts. This song immediately brought memories back to me; of the first time I bought a cassette, which had this very song on it. The first song I listened to was Angel of the Morning If there is anyone on G+ who knows her personnally, you are among some of the luckiest people on earth ☺

I loved this song back in the 80’s. We were just married, having the time of our lives when this song came out. We ran to our favorite music store and bought the album. Still married to the same girl now 44 years, and yup, still have that Album
Hard to believe she was born and raised in New Jersey, but it just proves that no matter the place or time, passion is passion, and hers is country music. She's so lovely.
Enjoy what makes you happy and damn the haters! If you enjoy it and it makes you happy ride that wave. No shame or guilt needed. 🤘🏽(unless it’s Nickleback - just kidding)
Whoa! I have been looking for this song for 8 years. Drive-byes, running over the pedestrians with car, Dead cops, beaten up prostitutes, blown up vehicles....all while this song was playing in K-Rose. So much memories!!
I love hearing this song. It always reminds me when I was in the Army Military Police stationed in Germany. It was my 1st duty station before I got stationed elsewhere doing regular police work. There at my 1st duty station, we guarded Nuclear weapons. It was back at that time during the Cold War, when nukes were a big deal, and we were always on guard. When we were not on a tower or watching an alarm panel, we were allowed to play cards. We always played one of 3 games. Poker, spades or hearts. This song was played so much on the radio when it first came out. It still always reminds me of those days at the nuke site.

This is the song that convinced my son to learn the guitar. 12 string was the eventual goal just so he could make it sound like the strumming in between the words. He mastered that and much more .. all from this song. I played her cd in the car more than not. :) We love Juice!
that's a wonderful story!
The first song I listened to was Angel of the Morning
If there is anyone on G+ who knows her personnally, you are among some of the luckiest people on earth ☺
+aCurious Hippie that is amazing, music always brings up memories :)
+aCurious Hippie this song was a favorite of my high school sweetheart, God keep her in his eternal hands as she passed away 1 year after graduation and every time I hear this song I think of her because SHE was MY "Queen of Hearts"
Must be some great memories. I was wondering if you could explain the true meaning of this song. I love this song. And I want to understand it in its entirety.
She's so adorable in this video
Juice Newton, what a great voice, what great songs, you are one of the best, I love you and your music
Don't forget great hair!
Esta canción lo escuché cuando tenía 5 años y desde ese momento me gustó... Quien diría que por fin logré encontrarlo
I love the fact that there are so many recent posts. Is she a Classic?
The young ones have had enough of this modern shit they called music
This song makes me want to go faster on the highway.
"Can't stop me!"
@jm gee that's what I'm talking about.
This song makes me want to carjack randos and murder prostitutes after they refill my health bar.

Makes me wanna jump off the world. Lol
I loved this song back in the 80’s. We were just married, having the time of our lives when this song came out. We ran to our favorite music store and bought the album. Still married to the same girl now 44 years, and yup, still have that Album
Amazing music , brings me back to the countryside of Los Santos.
Hard to believe she was born and raised in New Jersey, but it just proves that no matter the place or time, passion is passion, and hers is country music. She's so lovely.
Again, NOT COUNTRY.
+Tegan Bigone Agreed. Not country.
More like a pop sound. Dave Edmunds sang it, before Juice Newton.
So did Rodney Crowell.
Cada Vez Que Pasó De Los Santos A Las Venturas Y En La Radio De K-Rose Se Escucha Esto,Es Felicidad...

Neu-Ulm?
Not only was she pretty, she was very talented. I usually don't go for this genre but this song is really boss.
Hello Jean 👋 Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..

I love country. I grew up with country. I was there as a kid in the 80s... but no lie. I learned this song from GTA :)
Funny. I never considered her to be country ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@terrycarlton6991 neither did any of the country stations in my part of the woods. Not country
This was a cross over, could be played on either like a lot of Kenny Roger's songs.
Apparently country music fans gatekeep harder than emos do, interesting.
I wasn't born until 1986 and I love old country better than the new trash they call country
Love this song. It never gets old. I love Juice too. Her music is fantastic.
