Hello, thank you for this video. It was so hard to find the answer to this since I didn't know how to word it. Worked perfectly and now I even understand how these functions work.
I have two drop downs that cooresond to a table. Tax filing status and state reference a table tht lists the individual states in colum B, the income ranges for single in column E and income ranges for married in column H. then the income range needs to reference the earned income greater or less than a specific income to assign the correct tax rate percentage. (Might be best if I do a screen share)
This guide works for ALL versions of Excel. But if you don't have Excel 2021 or newer, you must press Ctrl + Shift + Enter when you're done with the formula instead of just Enter 😊

Can this formula be used to find a value within a min/max amounts line in two columns, with one match criteria, to return a value from a table array?
Does this only work for Excel 365? I have Professional plus 2019
This guide works for ALL versions of Excel. But if you don't have Excel 2021 or newer, you must press Ctrl + Shift + Enter when you're done with the formula instead of just Enter 😊
having an issue. error coming up saying a value used in the formula is of wrong data type. Did the same procedure
I cant seem to get the function to work with the “1”. Is this version specific? I am using excel 2016
I added an additional index to handle the array…. Works!
I would like to send you the sample of my spread sheet for you to critique.
doesnt work it says N/A error ?
with 3 criteria this formula does not work. can you show the example
It did not work for me.
Hi there, i did the same already but i got N/A
yeah, me too, and then i used the sumifs formula instead to solve the problem
@@megasnaa you used sumif for the same exact example he gave? What are you trying to sum? This is a "vlookup" alternative tho
@@megasnaa please can you elaborate
