  • We headed out into the Pamlico on a tough N-NW wind post front. Rain the night before and high winds made it rough but pre-planning paid off big time. Looked for the points and edges with drop offs close by and that allowed for current to sweep around points. Lesson was, keep at it and the formulas work! Bait, Birds (Black Birds at that!), and Busting Fish is where they were! If you are at a spot 15 mins with no bites and do not see this formula... move! Tight lines and thank you for watching!

Cory, I really appreciate the time you put into educating other anglers! Whether it’s sight selection, water temperature or clarity and “gear time”….all of these things help others to be more successful! God bless!

Great video Cory! Congratulations to Mike on his PB red! Surprised y'all caught those flounder, I heard they were going extinct! 🤣 That was a cool shot of that speck hitting your lure right next to the boat, keep the videos coming bro!

Thanks Kazz! Yeah if we wanted to target the flounder we could catch dozens, they are everywhere. And the new lens shows through the water like polarized glasses so it is a cool upgrade!

Thank you sir! Pre-trip planning goes into it a lot! Wind direction and tide along with time of day dictate things. Appreciate your feedback and watching!

FYI that drum was over 27" and above the slot. Gotta pinch the tail when you measure them, not a fork length.

Thanks for the insight longgunn123! We actually ended up releasing that one since we figured it was a female when we caught another smaller slot male a little later in the morning, but I do think you are right. Did not realize you "had to" pinch the tail but will from now on! That is what this channel is all about, learning and helping one another! Appreciate it! CF

great video. I like how you put the red frame on the water so we can see where the action is. Are you guiding? Good stuff . Pamlico River/Sound area is my fishing grounds. I live in Chocowinity NC

Hey thanks Joe, I really appreciate the feedback! No, I am not guiding yet. Maybe one day, it is a goal of mine anyway but I just carry folks with me for now when I can. You are in some great winter spots in that area!
