Such great advice. I'm pregnant with my third and in the hard stage of the first trimester. I definitely had this thought this week! I will be doing this with any pregnancies going forward!!
I’ve watched a lot of freezer meal videos, and this one was by far the most helpful. You have some really great ideas that I’m excited to try! And the casual addition of snow gear made me lol for real 😂
Katie, I’m pretty sure you are superhuman!! I love how disciplined and intentional you are with your homemaking duties. You inspire me! Keep up the great work and the helpful media 💜 God bless you, Elisha and your precious 5 kiddos!
Oh dear you are truly inspiring me , when on earth you had time to do it all with little once and homeschooling and being pregnant. May God bless You , greetings from UK 🙏
You cook very similarly to me so I appreciate this! I am generally an “everything from scratch” chef, so I do a lot of meal prep like this for my family. 🥰
Muffin trick is honestly genius! I was worried about how/where I was going to store a ton of muffins but now I can store more than I was even planning on making! Lol
Hehe we have the same sense of humour regarding the snow gear! Also this is one of the healthiest meal prep videos I’ve ever seen coming out of ‘murica! Thanks!! I’ve been on the hunt for some new recipes! Cheers :)
I totally agree about eating cooked freezer meals or the same recipe way to many time, just isn’t great and then waste your efforts! Great ideas! I’ll definitely try some! Just need to get in a habit of remembering to take it out soon enough. That’s my main problem with these kind freezer meals.
This is a very different approach. I do a lot of freezer meals (we have 3 kids in less than 3 years) and this was very helpful! Space is always an issue. And I LOVE the biscuit idea!
Thank you for this video it is so helpful. I don't know if you do a tour of your pantry and fridge and how you organize in stock things, and what you buy, I just saw a glimpse of it in this video, and I would love to see more. I'll go ahead and look around to see if you've already posted a video like that but if not, that would be awesome to watch!
Super helpful! Thanks and this inspired me to start freezer meal prepping at 28 weeks preggo so I can have those no brainier meals ready. Fellow non-casserole loving family here as well so thanks again for the ideas :)
Thank you, that was very helpful. I'm getting ready for back to school and homeschooling and want to be prepared before life gets busy. I'd love to see a more detailed video of the freezer organization.
I’m so thankful for this video! I’m 34 weeks with baby #2. I have been kinda concerned about what to do for postpartum meals (it’s been almost 6 years since my last baby) we moved to a more remote area in Idaho where “meal train,” door dash, hello fresh etc are not available. I’m a home cook but I just didn’t know really where to start. Thank you for the tips, recipe suggestions and motivation! I can do this! Blessings from Idaho City ❤
This is genius! I always feel ahead of things when I have quick lunches in the freezer pre made for my kids. But this method of having a lot more *half made meals is 🤯. I can’t wait to utilize this great idea. Thanks!
This was so helpful!! Love the idea of freezing batter vs finished muffins - not sure why I never thought of that!! I’m 39weeks and this motivated me to get a few more things in the freezer today 🙌🎉 thank you!
Great ideas. Your recipes sound delicious. What worked for me was crock pots/instant pot and following recipes (I didn't have to think about it). But, loved seeing what you do. Whatever makes your life easier and it's healthy. 😊
Hi Katie, congrats on your newest little guy!! Just wondering when you will have the rest of the list of meals? I have run off the others so far and excited to prep.
Great suggestions ! Thank you ❤ I’m due with our 5th at the end of August so I’ve been trying to look ahead and do what I can to take work out of the following months by prepping ahead. Just put all the kids fall clothes in a container at the top of each of their closets . Feels good getting these things done.
Love this!! I'm collecting ideas for postpartum meals and I really want to do a lot of homemade from scratch meals. We're expecting our third baby in January so I'm looking forward to some warm, cozy meals 😊
I am so grateful for this!! I am due on the 24th of December with baby #4 and am already trying to prep. Plus this is amazing for every day use. Always cook/prep in double+ batches and freeze the rest for later! Thank you!
She said for most of the recipes she just doubles or triples the recipe while she makes dinner. If you already have all the ingredients out it doesn’t take much longer or any extra cleanup.
From a genuine place of curiosity and health consciousness do you think there might be a more sustainable and less plastic chemical-y alternative to the zip lock bags ? Thanks so much for yet another great vid.
I freeze a lot in mason jars. Cool then in the fridge first and leave at least an inch of headspace. You cannot fit nearly as much though. I also use her Ziploc filing system to get more in.
Ive read into it a bit and decided to go for stasher zip lock bags.. they are made from silicone, not PEVA (which is also toxic apparently ) - but priceyyyyy... They have bf deals ATM though so I did an order and see how it goes. So far I've been freezing in glass containers and dishes, but more organisation in the chest freezer would be great, so I really wanna give that filing system a go 😅
So great, please post recipes ASAP we are expecting and can you put on your instagram so we don't miss them? your the best and God bless you and your new little one to come.
This is also great to do as soon as you get that positive pregnancy test to prep for the harder weeks of the first trimester. ❤️
Exactly what I was thinking!!
This is how I’ve survived 5 pregnancies!
Such great advice. I'm pregnant with my third and in the hard stage of the first trimester. I definitely had this thought this week! I will be doing this with any pregnancies going forward!!
Genius! Yes!
Good idea!
I love the accumulation of snow gear without mention 😂
The thumbnail 😂😂😂 I love it
Love the idea of freezing batter instead of baking!
You crack me up with the goggles 🤣🤣🤣

You shoulda just kept going and ended up with an entire snow suit on 😂

I love your muffin idea!! It's so helpful to have freezer meals postpartum. Good job!
Most helpful freezer meal video I’ve seen! I like the idea of prepping the marinades.
Truly inspiring!

Yep, I am also due in August. I was just thinking about their fall clothes yesterday and making it super easy.
I need to start some prep ASAP! 35 weeks! These were great ideas, thanks Katie❤️

Love this, thank you for all the great tips!
I love the humour lol
We had frozen muffins in their final form last time, and my husband just was not a fan. So thank you so much for this advice!
Thank you so much for the tips and meal ideas! How far advance did you prepare them? I'm currently 6 months pregnant with #3
Great and helpful video!! Thanks Katie!!
How do you find the time to do all the prep? What is occupying the kiddos for the hours it takes to do all of this prep and clean up?
She said for most of the recipes she just doubles or triples the recipe while she makes dinner. If you already have all the ingredients out it doesn’t take much longer or any extra cleanup.
Too fun haha!! I really do appreciate all your thoughts and advice. Definitely inspired
You can wash ziploc bags and reuse them.
This was super helpful! Thanks for sharing.
Love the transition with all the gear 😅😅
Thank you so much
How long do they last in the freezer?
I bet the pesto pasta and sausage is a kid fav. What r ur kids doing when u make this? That’s my big thing kids pulling on me while I’m cooking
Off subject, Katie, but you’ll have to do an updated sleep training video with this bebe! Not that you’ll be busy 😂
