We felt your tears! As a father, I’m proud of your decision to adventure to a foreign country especially being able to work remotely. That says a lot about your independence and going out of your comfort zone, which many do not. You owe it to yourself to see Korea once it really opens up. The fun and adventures will be twice as much. Busan is another place I think you will enjoy along with Myeongdong when it’s wall to wall with people and street food vendors. We enjoyed your vlogs and look forward to your future trips.
Malia…Your videos/adventures remind me of my younger self. I remember being in my 20’s and needed to travel by myself for work conferences/events. Being a girl from Hawai’i (originally) that was really a scary thing. Navigating planes, cars, hotels, new people, new cultures, was definitely scary to the point that I would try to find an excuse to cancel. With each trip, I grew stronger, gained more confidence and took on the solo “adventures”. It has definitely made a difference in my life. When I doubt myself, I just remember….been there, done that, you can and will be successful. That has carried me throughout my life (I will be 60 yrs, this year). I’m so excited and happy for you and the beautiful future I know you will have with your positive disposition. Hang in there, stay strong! The best is yet to come!!!! Aloha pumehana 💜🌸🦋💜🌸🦋💜🌸🦋💜🌸🦋💜🌸🦋💜🌸🦋💜🌸🦋
I had been watching your videos to get inspiration for my trip to Korea at the beginning of May but I tested + for COVID 3 days before my flight after going the whole pandemic working in healthcare and not getting sick. So I’ll just live vicariously through these videos 😭😭😭

I am living through you! I've always wanted to travel for extended periods prior to settling down but never had the nerve/push to do it. I still have the travel bug so it will happen eventually. I admire you 💜
The part where you hugged ur parents rly made me tear!!!! Thank you for bringing us on this journey with you and it has been SUCH A JOY watching you living such an exciting yet realistic life. Happy that your hours are finally going to be regulated (no more starting work at 1am what!!!! How did u even survive!!!!) but thank u for being such a joy & inspiration and I love watching ur videos :) excited to see more from u and don’t be sad cos more exciting and better things will come!!!!!
Aaww I'm going to miss your Korea videos, they were all so amazing and I'm sure you had the best time! Hopefully you can go back soon! I got emotional towards the end of the video 🥺Excited for all the content that's coming 💕✨️🌿
I have literal tears streaming, crying right there with you girl. Thank you for taking us along with you on your adventure. Watching your videos has given me confidence and courage to start doing things by myself and really appreciate time alone. So glad to see explore this side to yourself as you explore this new country and culture! Would love to see a video of all the things you learned traveling by yourself and the things you learned about the Korea! In the meantime, get a lot of rest. you did great!!!
Hi Malia! I honestly teared up watching this vlog because after watching all your Korea vlogs, it made me realize that I should also take my first solo trip to Seoul in the future! If not, I will for sure regret it. I too have grown to appreciate the culture and the many things Korea has to offer and I know I will enjoy it very much and live my best life when I take the courage to travel there. Thank you for sharing your experience and I look forward to watching your future vlogs! :)
What an amazing trip you had to Korea... Thank you for sharing your experiences, it looks like you had a lot of fun. I cant wait until you go back and show us more Korea vlogs, cheers!
Hi! I found your channel a right before I was set to move to Korea for a teaching job, and we arrived to Korea and we did quarantine about a week apart! Through this whole journey, your channel has given me a lot of comfort! It made me feel like I had someone alongside me who was figuring out life in Korea the same exact time as me. I loved watching your videos and finding out we did the same exact things but just about a week or so apart haha! Literally the EXACT same cafes, places, stores, and restaurants! When you started crying in your video, not gonna lie, I also got really sad for you too and I’m sad you’re no longer in Korea too :( I hope you make your way back here soon! :)
Hi, have you ever thought about making/already made a list of the ‘must visit’ places in Korea? Perhaps by area, the top places to go, particularly cafes and other aesthetic places? I’m visiting next month, but the itineraries I find online never include the best places as shown in your vlogs. Thank you, love your videos!! 💖
Loved loved following on your korea journey and can’t wait to follow along on your adventures. This trip definitely inspired me to go on a solo trip aboard!
I'm going to miss these so much! Thank you for vlogging and recording your journey. I can't wait to visit South Korea soon and I'm going to use a lot of these vlogs as reference points :)
Hello Army! Thank you for sharing this journey. I’m going to SK on my own in Sep/Oct and you’ve made me feel so better about going on my own. You’re so lovely! 💕
Loved watching your Korea adventure! Thank you so much for vlogging the whole experience and sharing your life with us 🤗 You have inspired me to take a solo trip in the fall to Korea ✨✈️
Hi Malia! I really enjoyed watching your trip to Korea going here and there while also working remotely. This inspired me a lot to step out of my comfort zone and work harder to earn so I can, independently, have a travel for that long in Korea too. You just made it look possible to me and I'm really grateful for that. Love to see more content from you 💗
I just finished watching this😢 I almost cried. I felt so sad too. What an amazing adventure! I'm sure you'll be an inspiration to your kids and give them the courage to do the same. I wish I could do the same but i'll have to wait until my daughter is in college. I also wish I had a remote job. I can't wait to see your future travel vlogs-especially back in SK! Until then, keep Namjooning🫰🏼💜 I'm getting caught up on your vlogs in the opposite order😬
Malia, happy to know you are over the hump and back in the states now. I know I will be awaiting your return to Korea too -- living through you has been such a blessing. Best wishes for your travels and I will be here when you go on your next adventure. All of God's blessings to you and yours. Love from Houston... (side note -- I guess I'm a old lady I collect those Starbucks mugs too...)
