I would LOVE to see you do a DIY Christmas village series!!! Also theres a little trick I use to paint small things like half wood beads. Take some double stick tape and stick it down on your craft mat, stick the beads on the tape, then start painting!
Thank you! I have seen people use that trick for painting their laser pieces, great idea to do beads also! if I could use it to help cut a small bead instead of almost cutting my finger off 😆…maybe stick tape onto cutting mat.
I loved them all but the little house probably is my favorite. I all for you doing a Christmas village. I have a village it consist of Walmart buildings.
I like the pumpkins In the cloche very creative. The little house is sweet. The tray is cute. Very high end . You never disappoint! God Bless Courtney and your family 🌹♥️🙏🥰🤗
Those were adorable. The little house, soooooo cute. I would hav used a button for the doorknob. I'd love to see the theme carried though with seasonal houses and a Christmas village. Your pivot on the window turned out great
Courtney! Whenever you no longer want that little house, you can feel free to send it to me! I LOVE it. Also, am secretly hoping that YOU make a little village of houses for all the seasons!! Please and thank you!
What a fun video! Yes, the owl looked a little pissed off, and the other animals looked pretty serious. I loved the cloche with the pumpkins. Definitely would love to see you create a Christmas village. Thank you, Courtney, Have a blessed day!
Definitely would love to see you make a Christmas village! Sorry that I can’t pick one favorite out of all of these crafts…I love everyone of them!!!❤Diane
I have a Christmas village but I would love to see you do a Christmas village. My son helped me and we all painted a lot of the buildings for the town. I bought some log homes and a log motel and a few other log buildings to go with all of it. I bought different brands. I bought them all when they were on sale or on clearance. I love everything you crafted today. It all turned out really pretty. Take care and God Bless y'all always
What a cute idea for a village. If my DT gets any more of those boards (we've only ever had those 1 time to date), I would love to attempt that. I totally agree about those flying feathers or whatever they are supposed to represent...I have that pack & they just look so out of place 😂. These are adorable as always 💖. That cloche is darling if I can make myself stop where you did. I agree that less is more some times but I usually can't stop myself at less. The detail & adding struggle is real‼️ Another video that I thank you for Courtney & something on my thankful jar would have to be...I am thankful for my TH-cam creators that keep me busy with such beautiful projects since my forced retirement (health issues). I love & appreciate you all, you keep me halfway sane 💖.
I would love if you would make a village over all your diy’s. Since you’re so creative, I’m sure it will turn out great! By the way, all these crafts were cute.
I am so lucky to have a Christmas village. Several years ago we lived for a time in England and I fell in love with all the architecture in both cities and rural areas. So my choice was a Dickens village. Much of it is Dept. 56. There are several pieces from Lemax as well. In my opinion if I were to start my village now I wouldn’t buy Dept. 56. The original company sold to Enesco. Since that time I feel that quality has decreased to the point that a good amount of the buildings and accessories look like plastic. The villages were done in porcelain and were full of impressive detail. I live near Chicago now. Several of the shops and stores have either decreased the number of Dept. 56 pieces they carry or have stopped selling them altogether. The price of each item has risen by 25% or more. Lemax prices have increased as well, but they have not compromised their quality. These are the two major brands of villages although there are others available (Kohl’s has their own and some of the department stores also carry a village under their own brand). I’m hoping this info/opinion is of some benefit to you. I would really love to see you create a village of your own, it would be so special! Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful ideas with us. So exciting when the notification arrives!!!
Thank you for the information! I appreciate it! I have seen a lot of Dept 56 sets out there. I have a couple of pieces from the Peanuts set. I saw a really nice village at an estate sale once and I wish I had bought it, but at the time, I wasn’t really looking for one. I would like to try to make one and hope I can figure it out.
Love all of these as usual. I have that animal pad and I love ❤️ foxes so thanks for the inspiration. I bought some cute village houses from Target plus I have quite a few of their ceramic houses from various years. I intersperse bottlebrush trees and last year found some adorable reindeer in Target. Target happens to be the store closest to me so I used to go there first. I just found a lazy Susan in DT Plus today that is identical to one I bought from Target a few years ago at the same price point. I guess Nick Lewis is right about retailers and their selling “white label” products. Anyhoo, I think making a Xmas village would be a real hoot and even more fun if you could tell us what craft items you plan to use the week before so we could craft with you.
We buy the two dimensional (?) pieces from the Fairy/mushroom/gnome section at Dollar Tree. They put them out maybe three times a year. In 5 years we have found 2 variations of each. Example, for the summer they had out a little surfboard rental type thing. They are maybe 4” x 6”. We spray paint them white and once they are dry we we spray them with a clear coat of something that has a silver glitter in it. All together laid out on a shelf with white tissue paper and white twinkle lights it’s beautiful. I have a really old nativity set that is ceramic and finished in the palest blue that I put in the front corner one piece at a time. It kind of goes together. Maybe. Anyway your little Halloween house is adorable. I might try that. My grands have been wanting a Halloween village forever. TFS.
I have an eclectic village, I started over 25 years ago and have been buying pieces since, I now mostly buy pieces at thrift stores. I try to buy well painted pieces. It is fun and i enjoy setting it up, i do it differently every year. I do have enough to set up a couple of villages or a very large town.
Courtney, You have such great ideas on this channel. I cannot pick one of them because they are all so creative. For the stain glass window you could use a picture frame insert from a poster frame cos you can cut that with scissors and place it between the leaves and the frame you would have the same effect as glass. the village is a great idea. i have a Christmas village i made some years ago. do you remember when those bisque villages came out and you could use as many of them or as little as them as you could paint. Mine started with the Church on the hill with a base and trees they looked like fir trees. then i moved on to shops and then houses. Michaels and Walmart had them years ago but i don't think they carry them anymore. You may be able to order them online though not sure about that but its worth a shot. Just a fantastic idea. its so relaxing making your own. All my fall and Christmas stuff went into storage so not sure if i am going to get that out any time soon as we are still in the process of moving. I feel like i have been working on my house now for two years. anyways i hope these ideas help with you search for your village. You could use a combination of small village pieces and larger ones to give like a 3D effect i did that for a Christmas party one year and i lots of comments on that. Anyways i hope you have a great and creative day Courtney, Bye for now and please take care. Much love and hugs
I think making your own Christmas village would be neat. Also I can’t pick a favorite, either the window or cloche. I never know what to do with those to craft pieces. So simple and cute!
If you have a Costco near you, they have a set of white ceramic houses that would be cute as a village. I think there are 6 or 8 houses in the box, and with your creativity, you could definitely make them a spectacular village!
Really loved the window with the leaves. Simple but really pretty. I might try something similar. Really truly enjoy your videos! Thanks for sharing with us! 🥰
Yes tot the Christmas villages! I have lots of villages, all ceramics. That’s probably not what you want to hear. I love watching your videos! So crafty all the time!
I would LOVE to see you do a DIY Christmas village series!!! Also theres a little trick I use to paint small things like half wood beads. Take some double stick tape and stick it down on your craft mat, stick the beads on the tape, then start painting!
I saw someone put paint in small cup and dump the beads in and shake the till they were coated.
Thank you! I have seen people use that trick for painting their laser pieces, great idea to do beads also! if I could use it to help cut a small bead instead of almost cutting my finger off 😆…maybe stick tape onto cutting mat.
Whitney (whiskey and whit) has done the cup and beads thing before. She used the rit fabric dye. It was pretty cool.

Here's a little helpful suggestion. When making a doorknob, you could also try using a pillsplitter.
That's a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
Yes please, I’d love to see a Christmas village! I just bought my fairy door set, I’m ready 😊
If I had to pick a favorite I would say the window with the leaves.
